As visiting black belts from Ontario, we had the pleasure of training at Kodokan YYC in Calgary, and we couldn't be more impressed! The dojo offers an excellent environment for martial artists of all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners, and caters to both kids and adults. Instructors Randy Chung and Walton Chung are outstanding. They are incredibly friendly, approachable, and highly skilled. Their teaching methods are adaptable, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their experience level, can learn and grow. Randy and Walton's ability to engage and motivate students is truly commendable. The atmosphere at Kodokan YYC is welcoming and supportive, making it an ideal place to train. Whether you're a novice just starting out or an experienced martial artist looking to refine your skills, you'll find the guidance and encouragement you need here. We highly recommend Kodokan YYC to anyone in the Calgary area. Thank you, Randy and Walton, for a fantastic training experience! Dainis Nguyen and Sarah Smith

Awesome people, amazing and clean facility and the lineage and the Professors’ reputation speaks for itself. If you’re in Calgary, and considering BJJ, visit Kodokan. I don’t train here but they’re welcoming and awesome to visitors. Thank you guys!

Took a trial class here. Could not continue training with these guys due to the distance from my house, but I have nothing but positive things to say about their gym. Super friendly instructors. Really detail oriented, and they get after it.

Dropped in for the first time today for an open mat and had a great experience. Lots of talented players and a welcoming environment. Will definitely be back in the future. Thank you to Professors Randy and Walton for having me. Great club!

I visited Kodokan as I was in Calgary for work and the training exceeded my expectations. Professor Walton structured the warm ups to led into the drills and was methodical in his teaching approach. I will definitely come back and train at Kodokan again next time I return to Calgary. Thank you to Angelo as well for fine tuning the details of the moves with me.
