I have been training with these guys for close to three years now. I consider all of my training partners good friends. Jamie, Brice, and Ernest give great instruction and feedback. If you're looking for a place to grow your knowledge and make life long training partners/ friends, this is the place to be

Ive been training at Athlon for about 6 months now. I can say so far that you wont be able to achieve your goals so easily. But the instructors help guide you without hesitation. As well as anybody who’s been training for quite some time. The hospitality is there when you first walk in.

I am completely new to martial arts and the instruction and training I have received at Athlon has been nothing but excellent, professional, respectful and fun! Every trainer is more than willing to offer their expertise, guidance, answer any questions and demonstrate movements to help you learn. You can tell they care very much about learning proper techniques and taking care of your training partner. The Fundamentals classes are so helpful and give me drills I can do at home. This place keeps me excited about learning new things!

I've been training with Jamie for 14 years, and I stay because of the exceptional instruction and the supportive, positive environment they’ve cultivated. Jamie and the other coaches not only have incredible technical knowledge, but they know how to adapt their teaching to each individual's learning style. The academy feels like a family, with everyone helping each other improve and grow, both on and off the mat. It’s this balance of expert guidance and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to stick with it year after year."

Began training July 2024 under Professor Jamie and instantly knew this was the place to be. Filled with instructors who want to see you grow and help you reach your goals. Learning from these instructors has taught me extreme patience and personal growth not only physically, but mentally. Also, Athlon is filled with members who look out for one another, and all the upper belts and even the white belts are willing to take the time to help you if you are having a hard time with something. I've been to a few other schools in San Antonio, and absolutely NOTHING compares to the amazing environment and community Athlon Jiujitsu provides to its members.
