Steve delivered a highly educational class and offered a pleasantly personable experience. I’d recommend Alamo City Self Defense any day of the week and look forward to taking advantage of the other great courses.

Took a Stop the Bleed course and the instruction was excellent. Very knowledgeable and engaging. I’ll be looking to them for more medical as well as firearms training.

I took the [Stop The Bleed] course by James. It was an enlightening yet laid-back class. James was an excellent instructor who answered all of my questions, and gave many pro tips from his experience as an EMT. His class is a must — if you have no formal training or need a refresher.

Kim & Steve was very professional & knowledgeable in leading their class and on the range. They offered tips, instruction, & answered all of our questions. They made our group feel very comfortable out on the range. I highly recommend going with their company.

This was an incredible training! Steve and Kim are such a kind and knowledgeable couple who are passionate on what they teach. My husband has been teaching me about guns & gun safety for the last 8 years but this class was incredibly helpful- with the visual slides, classroom setting, and field training. Our instructors were so patient with us, happily answered questions, and made me feel safe on the range. I will be recommending this training program to all the women I know! Thank you again.

This was my first time in public since the beginning of the pandemic. Mr. & Mrs. Maduro put on an amazing class; it was fun, informative and very involved. I was thrilled to be in a room full of eager people that looked like me and learn the fundamentals of concealed carry and home defense. I am excited to say I successfully completed the USCCA instructor course and will be joining the Maduro family training central Texans in responsible gun own and the fundamentals of living a happy, safe lifestyle. I searched long and hard for an instructor to bring me along on this journey and must say Steve and Alamo City Self Defense were the friendliest and most encouraging bunch I could find. Thank you, Alamo City Self Defense for helping me build a stronger future. Semper Fidelis E5R

Steve and Kim are great. They make you feel welcome, and made sure everyone understood the class material. They also take their time to ensure that they teach gun safety and how to use firearms for beginners, like myself.
