Not only is the gym is clean but classes are well taught. It’s an amazing way to build a new community 10/10 would recommend.

Apex Mixed Martial Arts at Tucson is the first gym of my life. Growing up, I neither had any experience in Martial Arts nor any sport, but throughout my brief time there in USA, Coach Joey Rivera taught me how to fight from scratch and ignited in me a deep passion for Martial Arts. Even though I was an international student coming from a different culture, the environment in the gym was very welcoming and everyone there helped me grow so much as a person to some extent. I am definitely coming back to Apex Mixed Martial Arts in the future when I make my way to the United States as a fighter. Highly recommend.

Incredible training from people who really care. The owner, Joey, knows your name by your second session and greets you every time you walk in. If you’re in it to fight pro or amateur, they can get you there. If you’re in it to train and get better, they can get you there. If you’re looking for a quality gym with people you can trust and training that will make you better, you found it. Apex has absolutely earned their reputation as the best gym in town.

My daughter attends the kids MMA class here and she absolutely loves it! Both coach Jesse and coach Humberto are excellent. Their attention to detail and ability to keep the kids attention during class is excellent. It is very safe while still be effective at teaching real life self defense skills. I also attend this gym and do personal training with Joey for striking. The knowledge you gain from just one session is so valuable. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to just get fit, anyone looking to learn self defense or anyone looking to pursue competition as well. The gym is very clean and the people are non judgmental.
