My son has been a part of Championship Martial Arts for a few years now and I have seen him grow and develop in so many ways. His confidence in his abilities, his work ethic when it comes to preparing for events and learning new things. I truly love the instructors and their dedication to each kid and their progress. This program has spilled over into all areas of his life in so many good ways!

The program at 3T Championship Martial Arts has positively transformed our son in multiple facets of his life beyond just physical skills. The focus on personal growth, confidence, respect, and problem-solving showcases the approach of the instructors, who clearly have a genuine passion for nurturing their students to succeed. Martial arts is more than just kicking and punching, it is impactful in building character and life skills. We are extremely grateful for the instructors and staff at 3T Championship Martial Arts and the talents that they contribute to helping our son grow into the amazing young man that his is. We are proud to be part of the 3T Family.

I did the trial program at 3T. They are an awesome team of people and the program has a very well rounded martial arts and self defense curriculum with leadership principles discussed each class. The instructors and staff are top notch and Shannon at the Columbia location was wonderful and never failed to answer a question or provide help when needed. It is a great atmosphere that is fun and rewarding!

My son Hunter loves championship martial arts. Hes been going here for about 7 years, and wants to keep going back. He attends class twice a week and is part of the leadership program. The instructors are great positive role models. Hunter really feels like he belongs at championship martial arts.

Championship Martial Arts is a top notch dojo with exceptional instructors, students, curriculum and facilities. My son started classes here over a year ago and the transformation in his attitude, athleticism and discipline are recognizable in class, in school and at home. Initially, our son took classes because he wanted “to learn karate moves,” but he stayed for the sense of belonging and camaraderie this dojo provides him. The instructors, staff and student helpers here are all great role models for the children and adults they teach. It is evident in everything they say and do that they care deeply about martial arts and how it can be used to both defend oneself and develop positive character traits. The instructors adapt lessons to ensure students grasp each technique being taught during classes and equally important they hold the students accountable for practicing and demonstrating proficiency with it. The positive attitudes and high energy levels here always put a smile on my face, and make my son want to do his best. The facility is clean and welcoming, and I find it easy to access. It is a great environment for karate students to grow confident in their abilities and themselves. From what I’ve witnessed, this is a professionally ran organization and not a black belt factory or “McDojo.” They genuinely want you to learn martial arts. The instructors regularly attend training to improve their own skills and teaching methods and I trust each of them with my son. Championship Martial Arts has a great thing going at their Columbia, IL location and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It’s not just a team, it’s a family.

We have been attending karate here for about 8 months. Love the work ethic and values they teach. This is a well rounded program that has helped us in the home as well with our children’s behavior. The staff are friendly. My children love their instructors!

My little brother has been going here for a year and a half, three times a week for fundamentals Black Belt Club and sparring. I can’t recommend this place enough! It’s perfect for anyone wanting to learn karate. The teachers are always so welcoming and funny and I love that they do their very best to make each child the best Martial Artist they can possibly be! I love that Sempai Becker includes the parents in the karate practice by either asking them to cheer or asking what exercises to do in line. I know that my brother always looks forward to the fun nights! I love that they do everything to make sure that you know when they’re closed or when the have a fun night. We also really enjoy watching Sempai Becker’s What’s Up Monday!

Top notch organization. The instructors are all incredibly skilled, not just in physical technique but also in interpersonal communication. In addition to training for kids, they have an excellent teen/adult program. I can vouch as an adult student (who is far, far from his teenage years...) that everything is positive reinforcement, you aren't expected to know anything on day 1 nor are you expected to become immediately proficient; it's all about repetition and training your body and mind over time. This results in a great physical and mental workout to keep you sharp. I encourage you to give them a shout to learn more.

Great program for kids. Not only do they learn karate, but they also learn values and morals. It has definitely helped my son. The instructors really care about the kids they teach.

Great activity to enroll your children in. They learn not only a martial art skill but life skills as well. Instructors do an excellent job with the students in every class regardless of the age group they are teaching. Special shout out to Senpei Becker! Truly impressive how this young man is able to connect with these kids and keep them engaged. More than apparent that the students repect him and want to please him. These are skills possessed by a true leader and role model.

There I was, peering through the cold glass doors into the dark dense fog that awaited me outside. However, it wasn't the uncertainty of the darkness that worried me, but my would-be assailants that outnumbered me 5-to-1 that stared back at me with their cold, lifeless eyes. As the sweat dripped from my brow into my eye, slightly blinding me with its salty sting, I remembered the training I received at 3T Championship Martial Arts. I had recently had the pleasure of enrolling my children and myself at 3T Championship Martial Arts and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of instruction here. The instructors are all highly skilled and knowledgeable, and they have a passion for teaching that is truly contagious. From day one, I could tell that this dojo takes their craft seriously. The classes are well-structured and each one builds upon the previous, so that students are constantly challenged and encouraged to improve. And yet, the instructors manage to maintain a fun and engaging atmosphere that keeps everyone motivated and energized. But what I appreciated most about 3T Championship Martial Arts was the emphasis on real-world application of the techniques we learn. Unlike some dojos that focus solely on form and tradition, 3T Championship Martial Arts understands that the ultimate goal of martial arts is to be able to defend oneself in a real-life situation. The instructors taught us practical self-defense skills that are effective and applicable in a variety of scenarios. Furthermore, the dojo offers a wide range of classes that cater to different skill levels and interests. Whether you're a beginner looking to try karate for the first time or an advanced practitioner looking to hone your technique, there's a class for you at 3T Championship Martial Arts. As for me, I was lucky that fateful evening, emerging through the doorway and safely navigating to my vehicle unscathed. Not only had I observed the principle of "karate ni sente nashi" (there is no first strike in karate), but no blows have been struck at all. But I'm confident that had I needed to, I could have dispatched those Girl Scouts easily.

Absolutely would recommend this dojo for anyone who is interested. The environment is always great and doesn't hesitate having you feeling like you just came to the right place. You'll find it easy with the greeting you get from both students and instructors. You'll soon find out that the instructors and students both help and encourage others

We began our martial arts journey with our oldest just over 2 years ago as a means to help with focus. I was very excited but nervous like any other parent beginning something new with their Littles for the first time. We have had such a tremendous experience with the staff at Columbia 3T Martial Arts. We have added such AMAZING, caring individuals to our Village and we couldn't be more thrilled. All 3 of our kids are now enrolled in karate. They are all confident little people to begin with, but they have taken this confidence and have applied it to their karate skills and are thriving under the expert care and instruction. We whole-heartedly recommend this Dojo to our family and friends. They are well worth checking out for yourself or your children.

I cannot express how much karate has done for our family. We started our youngest child in karate and after he was put of the tigers program, we added his brother and sister. This program has gotten our daughter (who was battling some major depression) to become more self confident. The staff is very big on "home rules" which include respect and have helped when we had a child dealing with listening at home and school. Snother child was having a problem with a bully and Mr. Becker (probably not spelled correctly) helped him with strategies to handle the situation. I am beyond thankful for this program! I am a proud 3T mom and my husband is a proud 3T dad!

We love this place! I have been blown away by the professionalism, the attentiveness, and the politeness of this studio. Addressing the parents and children alike as "sir" or "m'am" goes beyond teaching the students about the art of karate, but also fully instills manners into them. I have definitely seen an improvement in my son's behavior at home and we are so grateful for the amazing staff.

My daughter started going here a month ago, and honestly, I’m so impressed. The instructors really know how to interact with and teach the children/teens/adults, but especially the youngest of ones. They are teaching her so much, such as respect, self control, discipline, and how to defend themselves using proper techniques. Highly, highly recommend.

I have been a martial arts student and instructor for 27 years, almost 4 of those at this dojo. CMA/3T Columbia provides a supportive, structured learning environment with knowledgeable instructors. They build skills for self-improvement to create effective martial artists. I feel that being a member of this group has greatly enhanced my martial arts progression.

Championship Martial Arts makes you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. Sensei Trout is great with kids. He treats everyone with respect and helps you learn the drills and kicks even if he has to help you one on one. All the instructors help you no matter what you need help with. Mr. Toolen has done a great job with the dojo since he took over. He is willing to help anyone in need. This is a great place to go for karate or just to make your life healthier. Thanks for all you do Championship. Make sure you check this place out and it's definitely worth it. You won't be sorry when you do

Championship Martial Arts/3T has become a huge part of my family's life. My husband, Mother and 3 nephews have been going to this school over about 2 and a half years now. The staff is amazing they take time to get to know not only their students but also their families. They really work with every student to ensure they are getting the full support and understanding they need to go far in their martial arts career. Sensei Trout is the perfect balance of sternness and fun. He really has an amazing gift of teaching. The students are learning a lot about karate and life in a fun way. He makes every class productive and fun. Definitely worth checking out.

It was a horrible experience. They don’t really consider how others feel. There’s so much pressure to be perfect. My child now has trauma and PTSD from going there. She made it to the black belt prep, and they were practically forcing them to throw up, punishing them by dropping weights on them while they were defenseless. The other adults did nothing to help. They would yell at them for crying, including 9 year olds. They were making teens get away from the kids/teens group, and be paired up with the older and much stronger adult men and women. They pressure some kids more than others, and it’s obvious that it was motivated by physical feature. Horrible environment. Never ever ever going back. It’s also very expensive and we were forced to pay for items they never ended up needing.
