Learn the Art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with our Expert Instructors at Underground Jiu-Jitsu 702
We signed our daughter up and just a few weeks later my husband joined.
We didn’t just join a gym, we joined a family!
They also offer kids and adult striking classes on Tuesdays & Thursdays!
We love this gym & the coaches!
Great gym me and my daughter started going a couple months ago. All of the coaches are really good and knowlegdable the head coach Jona is really good with kids and makes sure the are learning but most importantly having fun.
Underground Jiujitsu Changed My Life
Underground Jiujitsu is more than just a place to train—it’s where I go to clear my mind and feel better. Every time I step on the mats, I forget about stress and focus on getting better.
The coaches are kind and really care about you. Everyone supports each other—it feels like family. The gym is always clean and organized, which shows they care about the space and the people in it.
This place helped me feel more confident, focused, and part of something special. If you want a place to grow and be supported, this is it.
My son and I have been going to this gym for 3 months and we love it. The people here welcome you with open arms and treat you like family. If it’s something that you want to do to help with your health or even for self defense, this place will definitely help you with that. Jona is an amazing teacher and is great with the kids. Underground Jiu Jitsu is a place that you would love to come especially for the first timers. Most definitely recommend this place if you think about joining either for you or your kid.💯💯💯
Was in the Vegas area for a work trip and needed a place to train as I always travel with my Gi. I reached out to a couple of places and UJJ702 was one of the places that promptly got back to me. After failing to make it out to train due to scheduling conflicts, I was able to finally make it 2 days before the end of my trip and I really regret not being able to make it earlier in the trip.
The gym is clean and has a very family oriented vibe. I was met and greeted by Jona who got me a waiver and got me all setup. I had one of the best experiences training on the road with the immediate no nonsense warmup with the bands‼️. Class and live rolls were a great time. I stuck around, had a great conversation with Jona and getting to know him was a true honor. He leads by example, is a true warrior and I respect that. Anyone who steps foot at this establishment is in for a great experience.
I don't know if I'll ever be in Vegas again, but if I do.. I'll be back here to train! OSS!
Thanks Jona and crew!
Our 3 kids (12, 10 and 4) needed a place to do Jujitsu while we're in Vegas for a month on a "workcation" and we are SO glad we picked Underground! Jona has set the bar high and we wish we could take this place with us. His teaching is efficient, fun, organized and the discipline he instills makes time for detailed one on one time. There's lots of opportunities for live rolls with some tough kids, and I love that all my kids can attend the same class. Superb class for all age levels in a mixed class.
Since I’ve started my kids here I’ve felt nothing but welcomed ! The way Jonah is with the kids tells me he cares about what he does and lets me know my kids are in great hands ! Highly recommend this place to all !
Visiting from outa town and came in for open mat on Saturday morning, Everyone was extremely welcoming, good vibes, good atmosphere and even better training ! I plan on coming back whenever I’m in Vegas 🤙🏾

It’s such an amazing place to train! I’ve been training with Jona ever since I was 8 years old and now im 18 years old. It’s been such an incredible journey training with him and still going too. I really do appreciate alot from him not only from him but from all my coaches. This sport has really changed my life and who I am as a person. I will forever be thankful having such an amazing teammates that will always be family, and will always be my second home. I highly recommend! very welcoming environment.
My student and I came here to sweat before no gi worlds: everyone here was welcoming, they rolled with us, helped my student sweat. Great facility, clean, and all killers!
Go there and train.
Underground Jiu Jitsu 702 is one of the best Jiu Jitsu places me and my brother trained at. I’ve training Jiu Jitsu for 9 months and my brother has been training Jiu Jitsu for 1 year, and we’ve gotten 1st place in a Jiu Jitsu competition, and we competed in a big competition at Long Beach, California. It has been really successful! I highly recommend Underground Jiu Jitsu 702. All the coaches are very nice and helpful especially Jona. Everyone in the gym is like my brother and sister, we’re all like family. 😃
A great place to train! Tons of knowledge and a great group of people. They made me feel at home from the second I walked in the door, very happy I found 702 UG!
Hi everyone, I just wanted to write a review for one of the cleanest friendliest Best couches in Las Vegas! Underground 702 Jiu Jitsu who is under Jona that is from Cascao Schools. There are 3 classes a day one at 6:00-7:00 and S&C at 10:00-11:00 and than one more class at 19:00-20:30 and open mats on Saturday! Let me start with strength and Conditioning Class it was increasable I though I was well condition but I couldn't even complete one round! And I was training for the world Championships. The classes are in two parts the first one is showing technique and then we drill it and at the second part we Roll! I wanted to go to every class in the morning and launch time and night I think I was able to do it once or twice! The Jiu Jitsu school has some very High Level competitors leading by example from the head instructor Jona, who is a killer by the way! Ogi and Chi and Ramon they all have different style of game! all of them which are impressive! and they have a vast of experience and a massive library of information they can teach you and increase your game! At the day of my competition Jona and Ogi and Ramon where kind enough to come and support me with being my corner, I just have to mention that They gave me some crucial pointer at times in my competition that would have saved me points or the entire match! by the way I got 3rd place in my division and in Open class! And I could not have done it without them! Big Shout out to Arturo Jene who are also incredible people! they promised they will come and visit me! And Tina with a beautiful heart! I just have to mention that The culture and the atmosphere is very friendly and open and welcoming that their core values are family orientated! Honer Respect and dignity and I personally love that! they are more than just training partners or couches if you are lucky enough to spend time with them as I did you will begin to love them admire them and look up to them not only on the mats but also as beautiful people! kind generous thoughtful always looking out for each other Giving you rides to home and to the gym or driving you around! Who ever crosses paths with this Gym is very very lucky! If I lived in Las Vegas I would train in this gym! 100% Now I understand why people travel 1 or 2 hours to come train here even though they have Gyms right next to their house 😅 I would travel across 2 continents just to be able to train here again! I will do that again Next year! Love you All 😊🫶 and thank you for having me!
Hello, I’m so happy to write this review because I can honestly say this place is worth the long ways, I drive. Underground jiujitsu has definitely made a difference in my son’s life. The staff always make you feel welcome and answer your questions or concerns. All classes are always different and fun. Overall I highly recommend this amazing place for a change in your kiddos.
White belt 0 stripes here… Jona does a great job of making YOU feel welcomed & included at the gym, Underground has been the first jiu-jitsu gym I have ever tried out & is definitely a gym I want to stay at. The mats & gym are always being cleaned, everyone has a good friendly attitude, instructors certainly know what their talking about, they run an amazing kids program & they don’t shy away from competition, they don’t push or force you to compete but it is highly suggested to compete… if you’re there for competition/tournaments, trying to better yourself with a new hobby, or have kids with energy that needs to be burned off, you’ll find a place that suits you there at Underground 702 Jiu-Jitsu
3960 W Craig Rd #105, North Las Vegas, NV 89032
In november of 2023 my children started training at underground jiu jitsu and they absolutely love it. Jona their coach is a great instructor he is passionate about what he does and care about his students and makes their daily training fun and interesting. Since the time that they have started i can see a tremendous improvement in their self confidence, discipline, jiu jitsu skills and over all health. 702 underground has a fun family atmosphere. During our time here the kids have developed a close relationship with Jona and they have also made some good friends there. If you are looking for a place for your children to learn jiu jistu I would highly recomend coming to one of the classes and giving it a try!
What a great atmosphere to train in. No egos. The quality of classes by far exceeds the membership price. The attention to detail. The team mates. The best gym I have ever been a part of. Ask for Professor Jona and ask for the week free trial.
I was visiting the area and decided to use the opportunity to visit another jiujitsu gym. I was welcomed with open arms and treated very well the two days I visited. The communication I had received before hand was open and honest. The gym it's self was very clean and obviously well cared for. I will definitely be visiting again.
I started my BJJ journey February of 2021 and hands down the best jiu-jitsu family and environment ever! Come check it out Professor Jona will take care of you, as well as all the other Professors.
Kids class is amazing for self defense
Amazing coaches. Strength and confidence morning class is just as amazing definitely recommend to everyone! Thank you Jona & Alma !
The change I have seen in my girls since joining Underground is amazing. They built back their confidence and are coming out of their shells beautifully. Jona is one of a kind and an outstanding person to have teaching and influencing our kids. There is absolutely no drama, nonsense or favortism. We couldn't ask for a better gym family. As long as our girls want to do jiu jitsu we will be with Underground.
One of the best jiu jitsu class for adults and kids all the coaches, teammates, and parents are very sweet nice you can feel that family love. Everyone help each other out it’s one of the hardest sports I tried in my life. we have awesome coaches and teammates by our side. Jona is awesome with the kids no matter how big his kids classes are he haves the patience to make sure all the kids gets that one on one help.
I recently had the opportunity to attend a class at Undergrounf jiu jitsu while I was visiting from out of town, and I was thoroughly impressed. The school is led by Professor Jona, who is exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable in Jiu-Jitsu.
Despite being a one-time visitor, I felt immediately welcomed by Professor Jona and the entire class. His ability to convey complex techniques in a clear and accessible manner was remarkable. He patiently worked with each student, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their skill level, understood the principles and applications of the techniques being taught.
The environment at Undegroud jiu jitsu is pristine. The mats and facilities are maintained, which reflects the school's commitment to providing a clean and safe training space for its students. This attention to cleanliness further enhances the overall training experience, making it both pleasant and hygienic.
My experience at Undegroud jiu jitsu was outstanding, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-notch Jiu-Jitsu instruction in a welcoming and clean environment. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Professor and his school offer an exceptional training experience
This is an amazing place to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The owner Jona and all of the coaches are very passionate about sharing their knowledge and also helping you to achieve your fitness goals. Mat space is vast and the entire facility is kept very clean. Overall this is a great environment and I can’t recommend it enough!
I've been in Vegas since 2002 and have been training ever since. I've visited every gym in the city, but only a select few have impressed me with their outstanding establishments, great people, and excellent coaches. I've known head coach Jona for many years, and he has always carried himself with class and respect. I highly recommend this place for its family-friendly environment. Whether you're a beginner or a pro, Underground Jiu Jitsu 702 is amazing!
My daughter has been attending this Jiu-Jitsu gym for almost 5 months now and we are so incredibly happy with our time there! She has gained so many skills and enjoys coming to class every day. Professor Jona is amazing with the kids and is always there providing excellent training techniques and giving the kids confidence and discipline! It is a very family-friendly environment and everyone there just wants to see everyone succeed and get better. Jona makes sure to spend time with each child to ensure they are learning techniques the correct way and makes class fun and engaging for everyone there! Thank you for all your dedication and sharing your love of Jiu-Jitsu with everyone 👏🩵

I was with coach Jona since I was just 13 years old, I have learned a lot from him as well as all the other black belts. I recently got back from active duty army, went to Jonas new gym and they all welcomed me with opened arms back into the family. This is the best jujitsu training and experience you’ll ever find and it’s another family you can count on to have your back on and off the mat.
El profesor “El Jona” es una increíble persona , el lugar es limpio, las clases son físicas y técnicas y sus alumnos te hacen sentir como en casa.
Recomiendo muchísimo venir a visitar esta academia si estás por Las Vegas!

As someone who drops in occasionally, I can confidently say Underground Jiu-Jitsu feels like a second home! Coach Jona and his wife create an incredibly welcoming atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease, providing clear guidance, and individual attention even to drop-ins like myself. Despite not being a regular, I always feel embraced by the supportive community here. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a welcoming environment to train Jiu-Jitsu!
Underground Jui Jitsu academy is great! Professor is amazing with the kids and encourages every child to give it their best if they compete or not. He makes it easy for children to understand the moves. I highly recommend underground especially if you want your child to be challenged and still have fun.
Great place to train! Jona is a great teacher and very skilled in Jiu Jitsu. This gym has an amazing atmosphere. I train in the adult classes and my son is in the kids classes. There’s no other gym I’d trust with my kids.
I travel the country year-round for work. I stopped by MANY gyms for classes. This was, by far, the best experience I've ever had at a guest gym. I had the pleasure of attending two classes as well as Saturday open mat. The entire class is very welcoming. The instructors were knowledgeable and took the time to ensure everyone was making progress. Professor Jona runs a remarkable program. 702 underground is the embodiment of what JiuJitsu is all about. New or old, white belt or black belt, bring your family and friends and roll with a truly amazing team of people. Thank you!
Presidential Roll 6am this morning at UNDERGROUND! Thank you all for allowing me to come into your house and mat! Professor Jona was awesome. He definitely made me feel welcomed. I tend to join gyms while traveling and UNDERGROUND was definitely memorable. Prof Jona said no to mat fees just a good review but I had to show some monetary appreciation! Definitely coming back here on my next visit to Vegas. I already spread the word about UNDERGROUND to some of my Cali training partners. See y'all soon.
Trained here while in Las Vegas for work. Very friendly staff and and team with some great training partners. The school is super easy to find, is very nice, and well maintained. They have two large rooms to change in, clean mats, and plenty of space. Highly recommend trying this school out if you're in town.
Dropped in at this gym while visiting Vegas - great gym culture! The instruction was absolutely excellent and I had thoughtful, challenging training partners throughout the class. This is a safe place to train as a guest and would be a great place to train full time - 10/10 recommend!!
Excellent place to train. The professors are skilled and knowledgeable. I would recommend to anyone who is just starting or even seasoned vets looking for a new place to train.
Hands down one of the best gyms around. Family oriented which is amazing because most of the parents are also members so they jump in and help during classes. They are a tight knit community and all the instructors are committed to your growth!!
Family environment where teammates care about each other, push each other to learn and train, while ensuring that everyone is safe. Welcoming environment for kids to train as well as women. I started my BJJ journey with Jona, he’s an amazing coach who has always been supportive of my own personal training journey. Check them out!
I started training at Underground Jiujitsu when they were training inside of a home garage. It’s incredible to see the expansion into this new building. Jona and the rest of the team are highly skilled and knowledgeable in jiujitsu. But what’s even better than that is that they’re genuine and treat everyone with the same respect, regardless of belt ranking. I can’t see myself training anywhere else in Las Vegas. If you’ve ever been interested in joining at BJJ gym, I recommend checking out Underground Jiujitsu!
Great gym with passionate professors and a great family environment. With history in the neighborhood long before they opened the doors, Jona has cultivated a community of great fighters and people.

I’ve been a part of the Underground Jiujitsu team for a little over a year and it’s been incredible to see the gym expand to a bigger facility. Jona, Chee, Ogi, Scott, and the rest of the team took me in with open arms. Underground Jiujitsu makes you feel like family. Also, egos are left out at the door, everyone wants to see you succeed while pushing each other with intense rolls. If you were ever thinking of joining a BJJ gym, I highly recommend Underground jiujitsu!
My kids have trained with Jona and been part of Cascao Jiujitsu for several years now. They have learned so much and they have gained so much self confidence since they started. The Instructors are amazing, everyone is friendly and really take the time to make you feel welcome and capable. If you know nothing about Jiujitsu or you have been training for a long time there is a place for you right here at Underground BJJ
I have been training in Jiu Jitsu for over 14 years on and off. I have been to several gyms in Vegas, but underground 702 is by far the greatest gym! Most other gyms all they care about is money they don’t care about their students, but Underground 702 cares deeply about their students and they seem to care about the well being of their students! This is a very hard trait to find now and days. The coaches are amazing and are always there to lend a hand if you need them to. 100% recommend this gym to anyone seeking to learn how to better their lives by learning and training in the art of Jiu Jitsu.
I was lucky enough to train with Jona for a few years. Everyone talks about the family environment in BJJ, but at Jonah’s gym that is especially true. I have trained all over the world and the most welcoming team I have ever met is at UG BJJ 702.
Awesome coaches! Lot of well rounded knowledge and great technique taught here. Awesome new facility! Guaranteed to up your game and excellent kids program!
Learn a new skill/continue your journey in a supportive environment where you are pushed to be your best! The new location is pristine and team means family @Underground702!
My children both train under Professor Jona. I can not explain enough how their training has impacted their lives in positive ways. They benefits so much more than the actual jiu-jitsu skills they have learned and continue to learn every day. The increased self confidence, discipline, commitment, perseverance, and amazing friendships are all ways I have watched my children benefit from training at UnderGround.
This gym has been around for a WHILE but recently just moved to a bigger location!
Very Family oriented gym, down to earth, friendly, and very helpful peers of all ages!
