A wonderful school for BJJ. My three children love their youth classes (Usually 8 to 15 students) Pedro, Arthur and Laura do a great job controlling (discipline) and educating the kids in a way that they find fun. The parents are welcoming and many of the kids have been going for years and I’m sure my kids will attend for years to come.

The source of jiu jitsu! The home of Legendary Carlson Gracie. The academy provides world class instruction and is a great facility. I’ve been fortunate to go to CGT all over the world but nothing beats HQ. Top notch training and environment that will elevate your game and let you have some fun while doing it. Can’t say enough good things about the place and the people!

Unreal training, environment, coaches and training partners. AS a visitor was very much welcomed into the group for the Sunday comp class. And got to meet a BJJ legend.

I've been studying Brazilian jiu-jitsu here since 2015 and I absolutely love it! Learning this sport and being a part of the Carlson Gracie team has been transformational. I'm continuously challenged, encouraged, pushed and pulled, as well as choked and submitted, always learning and growing stronger every day. I'm happy to have found this amazing team. All the instructors are amazing, kind, humble, and open to sharing their knowledge and experience. Competing can be scary, but when you're part of this team, you have the strongest warriors behind you, coaching you, drilling you, and pushing you beyond your limits to help you reach your greatest potential. There's so much to learn about Brazilian jiu-jitsu and this is the best place to learn. OSSSS!

I've been a member of the Carlson Gracie Team since 2002 and I have trained at many of the facilities in and around Chicago. I cannot find an academy with such talent, masterful instruction and team bonding as I have found at this institution. Head instructor Carlson Gracie Jr. had assembled a top notch team with high level instructors in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo and Muay Thai. If you are looking for an amazing workout, a masterful instruction into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a team that feels like a home away from home, then I strongly encourage you to try out The Carlson Gracie Team!

Carlson Gracie Chicago is definitely the very best place that you can train at in the Chicago area. All of the instructors are world class and are very helpful and welcoming to the students. Carlson Jr. Teaches personally and you just won't get anyone with better experience. You'll learn from the source and from the best when you train here.

. The competition instructor overestimates ability sometimes so it hinders my learning. I would ask numerous time i was unsure and was told to figure it out or just plain ignore. I was told to stop coming because I was wasting my and not dedicated enough to compete. I never had any desire to compete. Just wanted to be in shape

You can call multiple times and no response, call back and even try messaging them on Facebook but they don’t answer. I did my first free class which I had to walk into ... I don’t understand why a business isn’t trying to return potential customers calls , I tried getting a membership here too by walking in but the desk person in the front didn’t even know the prices of the robes or the prices to pay for x amount of months upfront? He said comeback when “other persons name “ is here, I did come back when they said and “that person” wasn’t there. The communication here , I wouldn’t recommend it .
