Bushido MMA, believes in putting kids first and helping them face the tough realities of life head-on. Martial arts isn’t just about punches and kicks; it's about teaching discipline, respect, and mental toughness. While this program might not be for every child, for those who stick with it, the lessons learned will last a lifetime. The goal isn’t to force everyone to stay; it’s about giving them the chance to discover their own limits and what they’re truly capable of. Osss .... "who are we!!!!"
My 11 year old has trained at other Jiu Jitsu Gyms in El Paso and Bushido MMA is the one he feels is training him the best because he’s learned Stand up and ground fighting. He gets to train with the owner and I can see the pride he takes with sharing his knowledge to his students. The world isn’t always going to be nice to them and as parents we won’t be there every second when it gets ugly, “school bullies”. We can only coach them so much and at Bushido they help prepare the kids when the world isn’t so nice.
And they have championship caliber fighters/athletes training there. Legit training facility.
my experience at BUSHIDO MMA far has been one of the best compared to other gyms. I used to train at the ufc gym on the west side, but that’s not a real fighting gym experiemce. Here it is different and it prepares you for actual combat. me and my son both train here and ofcourse there is discipline and it is not an easy-going gym. this is a place where you come to train and you come to learn discipline.
You want your kids to be strong minded and able to defend themselves, then this is the best place for your kids to train. My kids have been training for about 1yr and 3 months and they have shown great improvement in school and their personalities. My daughter is in advanced youth mma class and my boy is in little warrior class. Yes they have been yelled at and get punished for not paying atention and for not doing the mma moves correctly. Thats what i love about it. All coaches have been excelent and are respectful and they push your kids to become better at mma.
From the very moment you walk through the doors, you are greeted warmly by the instructors and staff. They are not only extraordinarily knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about teaching, which plays a significant role in your learning experience and motivates you to push yourself even harder. The instructors break down techniques in a way that is easy to understand, while also providing the encouragement you need to continually improve. Without a doubt, this is hands down the best MMA gym in El Paso.
My son (10 yrs) loves it! After playing baseball and football since he was 3, he just wasn’t in love with the sports. We finally found his calling or should I say he found it. He is obsessed and that’s what makes us happy. The coaches are strict, extremely knowledgeable but also fair. They do call it like it is/don’t candy coat anything and that’s what kids need nowadays, my son included. I love that they don’t baby the kids. The real world isn’t easy and these gentlemen are preparing them for that with respect, accountability, discipline and most of all self defense.
Great to be back my sons and I always like talking about our old mma days at Bushido. My youngest is wanting to train, get fit and refresh his skills..I will do the same.
best place to take kids and train as an adult as well- go for great coaching and technique driven classes - proof is in the pudding - Hugo is a high level coach and his gym produces high level talent - hit up bushido and train with the best - great gear - great atmosphere and will help develop skill that not only help you on the matt but in life as well
You want to Learn Bjj, Muay Thai, kick boxing, boxing, wrestling and or just get in shape they offer conditioning classes as well. This is the best MMA spot in all of EP they been around since 1995. For ages 5+ to adults. Give them a call you might be surprised.
Would highly recommend this gym. They don't waste anytime of class, teach a large amount of material in a clear, concise way, and instruct well. The instructors take additional time to instruct the new students, which made me feel welcome. Thanks yall. Hope to see you all in another year.
A premiere martial arts school training Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, MMA, Wrestling, and Strength & Conditioning classes in a 3000 Sq ft facility available all week. Stop in and talk to Professor Hugo Sida or Averie, the front desk manager. Instructors do accept private classes outside those scheduled.
Home away from home. Not only are you there to learn how to defend yourself, but also the most intense workouts and tough love a second family can give. Totally worth it!
Bushido is a fantastic place to train. I really enjoy the experience and expertise of the staff there. The facility is very clean, and has great atmosphere that is conducive to growth. My family and I really enjoy training here.
Although I was only in El Paso for 3 months for a work assignment I fell in love with this place. From the people training and the coaching, all around great people and a great environment cultivated by the trainer professors. I even got some great life advice. I encourage anyone in the area to stop by sign up and enjoy both mental and physical growth.
I come from one of the MMA gyms in San Antonio (Dominion MMA) and Hugo and Hector were very welcoming when I was in the El Paso area. Great environment and great training!
Seventeen years practicing martial arts and being a military veteran, I’m well-traveled and have been to many gyms over the years. Bushido MMA, with Hugo, Hector, and everyone, has been the best experience and remains the #1 gym I have ever been to. I highly recommend training at this gym!! 🔥🙏💪
One last good loving shoutout post to the community of El Paso, TX. My experience at the Bushido school has been phenomenal. Hard work and the care from the students to the instructors is #1 in El Paso. As a Martial arts practitioner for many years, this school has to be one of the best. They took me and accepted me as one of their own with welcoming arms. I have no doubt that this school and people here will be successful.
Started here about 2 years ago with one family member and now we are all involved. Classes for everyone from kiddos to adults. Families that train together stay together. Great, experienced, patient and knowledgeable staff with progress in mind. Earned not given!
This place is awesome. Great staff and teachers. You learn real life and earn your keep. I’m so glad to be here. Started out with one child and now the whole family goes in some form or fashion.
My wife and I are so pleased with the welcoming vibe you get here at Bushido. The training is top notch and very Authentic. No short cuts here. All the instructors are well versed in their craft. If you are looking for great training and wanting to learn a Superior Martial Art this is the place to be. Jose is great with the Cardio Blast Training for the adults, which is offered at Bushido as well. Great Job!!!
This by far is the best place to learn MMA and self-discipline. Their instructors are amazing and also train to become better. I see a lot of positive things going on there and my son absolutely loves his training. If he misses one day for any reason, he's not happy. Great job Bushido MMA!
No respect for students, humiliates students. I understand this is a tough sport and discipline is required. Theres a difference between discipline/respect and humiliation/disrespect. Every student should be thought with morals and encouragement, not body shaming or profanity. Martial arts does not have to be just aggression, also peace and respect. There are many other dojos in eptx that offer this discipline and respect. The coach discourages bullying, yet he himself ACTS as the aggressor.
This place is terrible the staff sucks the owner is a self centered jerk
He only wants to charge you and is never willing to listen to concerns or complaints
He is overpriced doesn’t know anything about loyalty, respect or integrity
Take your child and money to another facility there are way better dojos in this city I can definitely think of two on the west side and two on the east side
His own ex students are now attending these places. Can’t even leave a star or half because this place has gone down since all his original staff has left
