Excellent BJJ gym. I had the privilege of training under Eddie for nearly two years and he is a phenomenal instructor. Very tactically minded, and breaks down techniques so it’s easy to understand. The Siri team is among the best in the sport and the greatest community to build you up. If you live in the area or are passing by, I strongly recommend Sargent BJJ!

Sargent Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has a wonderful environment where safety and mutual respect for one another are prioritized. Each person I have met so far has been a pleasure to train with and we are constantly sharing our knowledge to help build one another during our jiu-jitsu training. It is fun to cross-train with affiliate gyms as well and gain an extended community. In addition, I’ve lost quite of bit of body fat, increased my mobility, and have adopted a healthier lifestyle overall. BJJ is physically and mentally stimulating in addition to the kind, social setting. I highly recommend checking them out!

I started at Sargent's on kind of a wim. I didn't have any experience in grappling or wrestling and bjj was a totally new experience for me. Professor Eddie and Sharlene and their coaches welcomed me and made me feel welcome and I didn't feel like the brand new guy at all and I was never treated that way. When they say " A family built on the mat" Professor Eddie and his staff mean it. I've never been part of a place that made you feel like a part of the team so quickly. All 3 of my Daughters are now doing bjj at Sargent's and they love it. Professor Eddie is absolutely great with Kids and they genuinely enjoy his classes. This Place is great and if you're even considering doing Brazillian Jiu Jitsu I wouldn't go anywhere else. The people at Sargent's have created and environment that gives you the confidence and help you need to get better and enjoy the process of getting better in everyway.

I was in the area for work, they graciously allowed me to drop in for the week. I picked up quite a few different viewpoints that I feel will be beneficial to me as a newer practitioner of Jujitsu. Their kids classes are on point, the adults are friendly, and they had a nice range of skill levels, with a large group of newer individuals like myself. Much respect, I hope to drop in again when Work brings me to Walla Walla. I highly recommend.

I have been attending with my 8 year old for almost two years. It is a great atmosphere and feels like you are part of a family! Professor Eddie and the coaching have created a learner friendly environment and show their passion for the art of BJJ. Whenever there is a new person they are welcomed and the members are friendly and helpful. There is a lot to learn in BJJ and Professor Eddie's approach to coaching is easy to follow and the support of the coaches and upper belts really help you feel like you can learn these techniques! If you are curious about BJJ or just want to try something new I HIGHLY recommend Sargent's BJJ! The Siri family is large but you are a part of the family when you join this gym!

Sargent Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is well and truly the premier BJJ Academy of the Walla Walla Valley. Top-Tier instruction presented in a welcoming, inclusive, and family friendly environment. The facility is clean and well-kept. All of the instructors are friendly, professional, and work to maintain a safe and positive environment for their students. I especially appreciate this as a young female grappler. I can think of no better place for someone to receive their introduction to this intimidating sport than from Sargent. This academy is super welcoming and inclusive of anyone with a positive attitude and a desire to learn jiu jitsu, regardless of the student's life background. When you attend a first class, the staff members will spend quality time with you to help you know what to expect. Once they have you set up, they will then have you pair up with more eperienced students who are a good mentorship match for you to try out the different practice exercises for the day's class. This gym and its people are the only reason I stuck with it! I began my Jiu Jitsu journey here on the summer of 2022, and I was graciously welcomed to the practice by owner, Professor Eddy. I had played soccer my whole life and had just hung up the cleats from NCAA D2 women's soccer and needed something else to take up my time. Thanks to the patience and commitment I received from Professor Eddy, I find myself training daily. A foundation of life I owe to this gym... don't even get me started on the hospitality from his wife! Such a family oriented environment, perfect to practice the art. Never a dull moment as the team vibe is very welcoming and supportive, where the higher belts and Professor Eddie roll WITH you. So, whether you're there to dial in the technique of the day with more reps, go live, or flow roll you'll find what you need. My daughter and I began training at Sargent Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Academy 25 April 2022, and have attended over 86 classes with Professor Eddie Sargent. At 41, I was worried about the physical demands of training after having been out of shape for so long, and working through physical limitations from military service. The environment that Professor Eddie and his team create, is warm and receptive to the whole family. My daughter started off attending both the kids class, and adult classes with me, so I’ve been able to observe how he and his team interact with all ages. Kids find strength and confidence through Professor Eddie’s world class instruction, while learning discipline through the physical and mental demands of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. I’ve found a great personal joy in attending adult classes with my daughter, and witnessing the change in her skill, adaptability, and self-confidence both on the mat and in other aspects of her life. For myself, I’ve lost over 30lbs since April and went from barely being able to complete warm-ups, to being able to complete two classes in a day. Teammates at Sargent Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Academy are a diverse family, who are quick to assist any new/trial member with settling in. Each class we push each other to excel, helping one another strengthen our abilities with each roll on the mat. I highly recommend Sargent Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Academy to anyone interested in giving it a try.

I have been training at Sargent Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since April of 2022 and at 1st I was a little anxious to get back into the sport after training for close to a year in SoCal but my experience here at Sargent BJJ has been nothing but amazing! Eddie, Patrick and all of my other teammates have been encouraging and kind. Everyone here actively helps each other to become better not only at Jiu Jitsu but in building camaraderie, becoming a family and harboring an environment where people feel comfortable learning the art of Jiu Jitsu. If you have ever been interested in learning Jiu Jitsu and you live in Walla Walla or surrounding areas this is the place to train! Hope to see you on the mats!

I came to Sargent bjj not having any prior experience with any martial arts. Professor Eddie and the whole gym welcomed me in and made it a super awesome experience. I’ve been going to Sargent bjj since the first week it opened and I can say you truly get world class instruction from a world class professor. I consider professor Eddie and the whole team like family and I would absolutely recommend it to ANYONE who has a interest in jiu jitsu.

Professor Eddie Sargent is a world class instructor, and a world class person. He received his Black Belt from World Champion Gustavo Pires, and that says it all. Being a member here means you are part of the SIRI family. Everyone is treated at Sargent BJJ with integrity, respect, and welcomed with open arms. If you want to learn new school jiujitsu, old school jiujitsu, sport jiujitsu, self defense or competition Jiujitsu, Sargent Jiujitsu is the place for you.
