For 3 years I have trained with Jairo in jiu jitsu. He's always timely, attentive and dedicated to helping me grow and improve in the sport. The gym is clean and fully equipped and a very comfortable place to train. Jairo has helped me grow in confidence in self defense and takes to heart my concerns making sure to focus on the areas of concern. I can't express enough how much I look forward to training with him.

Came to Dallas for a conference and wanted to find somewhere to train. Jairo let me join a class, and was an amazing instructor! Really personalized the lesson, adapting for different skill levels and strengths. Plus a well rounded curriculum and structure to the class. Good clean mats, and wonderful students. Will definitely come next time I am in town, thanks Jairo!

Been working with Jairo for functional fitness now for 4 years. Safe to say, I’ve gotten much stronger with ZERO injuries due to working out. I feel less inclined to be injured in my real life as well due to our progress. He has introduced me to mobility exercises and I feel this will contribute to my health and longevity. Works with you in your long and short term goals, and my mindset has improved inside and outside of the gym.

I try to visit a gym in every city I go to and I will say that the hospitality , professionalism, and training quality is beyond reproach. I had an amazing training experience and I highly recommend anyone interested in martial arts try this place out!

I love this place. It is simple, but has everything you need to get an excellent workout. Jairo is a wonderful trainer. He is knowledgeable, and has great energy. He really focuses on form to prevent injury. Most importantly, he is very passionate about what he does. He thrives on his clients' successes. I would highly recommend!

Jairo’s classes have challenged me as well as pushed limits while making sure I have correct form. His motivational attitude always pushes me to give it my all from the first set all the way to the last. Jairo has excellent knowledge to get you to achieve your goals. Definitely recommend to check out 144 Academy.

I have to say I have been to allot of different gyms though I am very impressed by the cleanliness of 144 Academy as well as the options for equipment and the programs that are available. Love this gym, and the location is perfect! Five Stars all day long!

Absolutely love this place! The classes and personal training are great! It is so clean and all around a great experience! The environment is so fun and positive! The owner is so encouraging and his classes are the perfect challenge you need to help you get stronger. He asks for your goals when you first begin, and he trains you in the direction to get you closer to that goal! Whether it be just getting healthier and stronger, or learning how to box, or self-defense. This gym is incredible and you should definitely check it out at least once!!

Having known Jairo, the owner, as both an instructor and teacher, I can say he’s one of the best, most thoughtful instructors you will find. As well as one of the most creative and insightful. If bjj, mma, and self-defense interest you, this is the place to be.

Jairo is truly THE BEST! I’ve worked with a lot of very qualified boxing, jiu-jitsu, and personal trainers/coaches for many years and I can honestly say that Jairo is by far my favorite! Not only is he very qualified and skilled but he makes every session fun and enjoyable. I’ve never looked forward to working out as much as I do when I train with him!
