I visited Zicro to attend a seminar and thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The instruction is top notch and the facility offers plenty of mat space. I had several intense but fun rolls too. I definitely recommend checking out Zicro/Alliance.

I've been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Alliance Tallahassee for the past two years, and I can confidently say it's one of the best decisions I've made. My daughter has been training there for almost a year. Everything is great but the coaching team (Felipe, Natalie and Danny, there are more) deserves a special mention. They really care for the kids and they are detail oriented. In short, great place with good installations and a awesome team. Highly recommended.

My daughter started Zicro Academy (BJJ) at age 4 and has been there for a year and a half now and loves it. Felipe and Ms. Natalie are wonderful with the kids. Felipe is like a big kid himself with the younger class and keeps them engaged. They begin most training sessions with a fun game to warm-up before moving on to the technique of the week. Then, through repetition, they build on from there, until they get to the kids’ favorite, “fight time”, where they get to put what they’ve learned into practice. My daughter has improved her coordination and strength, and through healthy competition in the warm-up games, has become more sportsmanlike and doesn’t get as upset if she loses. She will carry the self-defense techniques that she’s learned here with her for the rest of her life.
The best jiu jitsu gym in town! When I moved to Tallahassee a year ago, Felipe and the whole team were so welcoming. They made me feel as part of the family right when I joined. I can’t recommend this academy enough. Both the beginner and advanced classes are well taught, the facility is well kept and clean, and everyone is so kind.

I went yesterday; straight off the boat, newbie white belt with 10 months of training. They have quite a good class so they break it down into beginner and intermediate in the afternoon. I rolled with the beginners and felt like I was definitely with my peers. Then, we did king of the mountain where the blue and the brown belts came in. These guys were super helpful and very appreciative of new people coming in willing to learn, humble and asking questions. I am going back today for more!

Probably the best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in North Florida. The Mixed Martial Arts is great too. Felipe is a legit black belt. This is an Alliance affiliated school. The Alliance franchise has made a name in the UFC and other combat arenas for high level jiu-jitsu coupled with striking. Felipe tailors training for individuals of all abilities and experiences. The environment is chill and low stress. If you want the equivalent of a graduate degree in chokes and joint locks, this is where you get it.
I have been training here for a few years. This academy balances professionalism with a kind and welcoming atmosphere. They are focused on realistic training that is applicable in worst case scenarios but also customize the experience to the individual, bringing diversity and high level abilities together all in one space. The MMA program is just as good as the Jiu Jitsu classes. The children's classes build confidence and also provide your child with legit skills to use if they have to defend themselves--not many martial arts programs can say this. This is an amazing Ju jitsu school , It teaches you everything step-by-step. There’s a good variety classes. Like beginners classes, advanced and no gi. I really enjoy going here because of the jiu-jitsu and the amazing people that train here.

I have been in Martial Arts for the past 35+ years and this school is absolutely amazing. You will learn Brazilian Jui Jitsu from a person who himself was taught by the pioneers of the sport. This is a big plus for this school but there is more. Felipe teaches great Jui Jitsu but as an added bonus the students gain invaluable life lessons. Felipe is honest, respectful, honorable and a good friend who is always willing to help. His students and all those who know him and his school will attest to this. Zicro Academy is the best place to learn Jui Jitsu. Felipe is a true master of the art but an even better human being.

Training under one of Felipe’s satellite gyms, I’ll often get to come to Zicro in Tallahassee, and I am constantly challenged by the students that train under Felipe every week. I was visiting Tallahassee for a couple days and needed a place to train. I went to Zicro Academy / Alliance and professor Felipe Neto was very welcoming. The instructor and all the students were great. Very high skill level, and serious but safe rolling. I highly recommend this place.
Awesome Academy with an excellent professor. My family was visiting Tallahassee for the week so, based on a recommendation from a friend who trained there, I called Professor Felipe and asked if we could train for 3 days while we were in town. He said absolutely and suggested that we come Tuesday Wednesday and thursday. When we arrived on Tuesday Felipe was very welcoming to us and gave us a tour of his beautiful facility. Professor Felipe even gave my 5 year old daughter a short private lesson on how to properly break fall. He had two assistant coaches teaching the kids as well. A black belt and a purple belt. Everyone was very kind to us and we will definitely return next time we are in tallahassee.

This place is fantastic, Danny and Felipe are amazing instructors. I have moved all around states and consequently had to move to multiple gyms, 4 to be exact, and this one is by far the best. Competition is high but the respect in the gym is higher, no one is there to hurt each other, and the large amount of higher belts gives someone plenty of people to learn from.

Only in Tallahassee for a few days but have friends who train here and love it. I attended class several times. Fundamentals instruction was great, explained and demonstrated clearly. Those that I drilled and rolled with were very helpful, helping me see what steps I missed, and when I got it right. The facility also seemed to be very clean, both the training section, mats, and restroom/locker room.
Amazing gym if you’re looking for high level training, or even a place to train for the day in Tallahassee this has to be one of the best spots to train at. Can’t say enough good things about Zicro. White belt in town for XC NJCAA national meet and wanted to learn and get some work in. I submitted form and was called back immediately. Very friendly and helpful with questions. Was able to attend a session and just in first 15min picked up some tips on how to be more efficient with attacks. Never once felt awkward and everyone was very friendly. Definitely will come back if life allows it.
We stopped by for a class on our way to Orlando, and Professor welcomed us in! Very technical and high level instruction and students, and everyone was friendly. Very clean academy, had JiuJitsu on one mat + fitness kickboxing class on the other mat. We will come back again! Thanks Professor 🙏

This summer I started my grandson in jujitsu & because I had seen Zicro Academy several times we went in for his free trial class. Our grandson is 9 & the class size can be fairly full on the Tues/Thur class but less full in the Wed class. I loved how the instructors interacted with the students - that no matter the student's level they all spar together & learn from each other as well as the instructors. Felipe Neto (owner) is also extremely hands on with the kids & has a positive demeanor, as do all the instructors! I was so impressed. Tho our grandson is only with us for the summers, and he will continue jujitsu in his hometown, we will definitely bring him back next summer! Thank you Zicro Academy for a wonderful experience!!

Zicro Academy, led by Professor Felipe "Zicro" Neto, is the primer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in all of the North Florida/Panhandle region. The academy is primarily a BJJ gym, however, it has a strong MMA program led by head coach Brandon Ryals, and a great fitness kickboxing class. The cleanliness and very high standards of the gym is a direct representation of how Felipe operates on and off the mat. I began training there in 2019. Since then I have had the honor to represent Zicro Academy in two amateur kickboxing/ MMA boughts. Prior to 2019 I had very little combat sports experience. Upon my first day, the Zicro Family welcomed me with open arms. They pushed myself to recognize my strengths, improve on my weaknesses, become a more complete martial artist, and build life long friendships. Zicro academy is a wonderful place to train and interact with great people. Felipe Neto and his instructors are world class. Came in from out of town needed a place to train for the night. The instructor was great very welcoming and friendly, all students also very welcoming and not a gym of students out to kill the new guy. Students and instruction was at a higher level than I have experienced at other gyms. If I lived in the area I’d train at this gym.
This place is amazing! I would highly recommend this gym to all, even if you’re a beginner and a bit intimidated by the idea of getting into martial arts (me lol). The instructors are all very friendly and incredibly skilled/knowledgeable. I felt so welcome right from the get-go. I’ve always wanted to try out kickboxing to learn how to better protect myself and I’m glad I finally decided to give a go at Zicro/Alliance. Every class is a great time and an awesome workout. I did a lot of researching when trying to find a gym and I’m so glad I found this place. 10/10 would recommend!!
Professor Felipe, Danny and all the other instructors are great! My daughter loved going to Jiu jitsu here. The belt ceremony they hold is also very nice. My kid was so proud of her accomplishment when she was promoted to grey-white belt.
I visited this facility for the fourth time while I was in Tallahassee. The group is very open and inviting and the instruction is excellent. I will be stopping back in on my next trip.

What a gem! I was traveling from Houston Tx to Ft. Lauderdale for a competition and after 10 hours in the car we decided to drop in and got some training in. First impression was the cleanliness of the facility. Spotless and sanitized. We had just missed the kids class but Professor Felipe welcomed me on the mats to train with the adults for the next 2 hours. Professor was very detailed and clear with his instructions on the technique and the adults were very gracious in helping and training with me. I’d give the academy 10 stars if that was an option. Thank you Professor for welcoming a total stranger to share the mats with you and your students. It’s was an honor! 🙏🏼 If you’re ever in the Tallahassee area or just driving through, this is definitely the place to stop in and train!
I decided to take the plunge into the world of Jiu Jitsu last year at the age of 48! I was nervous about how an "older " white belt would be received by the school but those fears were quickly put to rest. Zicro Academy was very welcoming and I quickly fit right in. Felipe and Danny are top notch instructors who always take the time to make sure you have a good understanding of the concepts being taught. Everyone who trains here has been great and the facilities are are always clean! I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
This bjj gym is elite. Felipe, the main instructor, is the real deal. He emphasizes fundamentals while simultaneously explaining more intricate and complex aspects of the positions we are learning. The other black belt instructors, Danny and Jason, are also extremely intelligent. They all have their own way of teaching the same techniques. Since joining this gym, my bjj knowledge and savviness has skyrocketed. Coming from a frugal college student, a membership is worth every penny at Zicro. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. My advice is to sign up your kids, spouse, and yourself as soon as you can. You are never too young or too old to learn this art.

This past Saturday, he came to Alliance Greenville to do a seminar. It’s always good to see him and it was great to sit under his instruction for the first time in a while. Not only is he knowledgeable about jiu-jitsu after training for many, many years, he’s a phenomenal instructor who is attentive to his students. I’d recommend him and his school to anyone!!
When you decide to make a change in your life, one of the hardest things to do is to simply walk in the door. Zicro Academy creates an atmosphere where that becomes fun. Felipe, Danny, Jordan and all instructors are truly dedicated to the art. They spend the time to teach, regardless of skill level, or fitness level. It’s truly up to you, how intense you want your training to be. I’m a former athlete, with a long list of injuries. I have NEVER felt pressured to put myself into unsafe positions. I have ONLY been encouraged to try to move my body in fun and new ways. The ultimate compliment I can pay, i would trust my son to learn from anyone at Zicros.
Zicro Academy is hands down the best BJJ gym in Tallahassee. The environment is welcoming and professional. Felipe and Danny are top notch instructors. If you want to learn the real thing from people passionate about BJJ this is the place to go.
I came here to get some training in while in town for the holidays, and really had a great experience! Not only is their facility really nice, their staff, professors and team were extremely welcoming! It’s not always easy visiting a new gym when coming from out of town, but I felt very comfortable and was very impressed with everything. I got some good drilling and rolls in and got the sweat out I was needing. I’d definitely train here if I ever moved back home and will come back when I’m in town.
Fantastic school, great facilities, awesome people! I came in to train for a week while visiting family. I was greeted warmly and welcomed by everyone. The technique and instruction were excellent! He had a few little details on each technique that made a big difference. The flow and structure of the class was great! The school had lots of room, multiple mat areas, and was very clean. If you are in Tallahassee you have to come train at Zicro BJJ Academy!
This place is awesome. I trained here for about 2 years. Top notch training from a number of blackbelts and visiting blackbelts. Loved the atmosphere, which I believe is a reflection of who Felipe is as an instructor, super friendly, chill, and one who really cares about his students. Classes are offered 7 days a week in a number of disciplines (BJJ, MMA, Wrestling, Kickboxing). I proud that this is part of my BJJ lineage and I will no doubt benefit from the foundations I learned/built here.
As a current student at Zicro Academy, they've surpassed every expectation I've had since the first day I started. When I began I knew absolutely nothing about Jiu-Jitsu and have learned so much thanks to the incredible staff and instructors. If you're looking to get started or continue training in BJJ, MMA, kickboxing, or a variety of other martial arts, look no further because you won't find a better place in town to train than the Zicro Academy. If you're considering signing up, take advantage of the week of free classes they offer to see if you like it. I cannot recommend Zicro Academy enough, you will not be disappointed!
I love this gym! Speaking as someone who typically stays away and has never enjoyed the average gym, Zicro has shown me that a gym can make you feel both comfortable and included. Not only are all of the owners and employees supportive, but everyone who attends the gym is as well. Definitely go to this gym if you're looking for a fun and supportive environment!
Today was a day like no other....I took a free trial offer at this place. It was Amazing being apart of something like this. I've never done anything like this before so I definitely was excited and nervous... When I walked in I noticed everything was immaculate and they were in the middle of class. Philippe was the instructor and he was fantastic At first I started off slow but this turned out to be a very nice experience. I can't wait to try out the Kickboxing class.
The people who run the facility are great and deserve 5 stars, but the company that owns the program is sketchy. Beware- in order to cancel your membership, they want a written notice of cancellation 30 days in advance AND expect you to pay a $360 cancellation fee. They DO NOT make you aware of this when you sign up.
good gym, but i signed up with a verbal agreement i was moving away with the military in a couple months. assured me i could cancel with no problem. been trying to cancel for over 7 months and they wont do it. they have charged me over $800 while im living in another state. im fine paying a cancellation fee or whatever, but they keep charging me $135/month for a membership i cannot use. absolutely ridiculous. i would put a stop payment through my bank, but im worried theyll report to the credit agencies or something. absolutely ridiculous.
