I’ve been attending XPLORE BJJ for about a year, training both MMA with Adam and BJJ with Dan. They are both great coaches and I would highly recommend!
Attended both the MMA and BJJ sessions, have to say the training is very high quality but also the team is very friendly feels more like a family than a gym, if you want somewhere good to train where you feel welcome straight away you should train here. Thanks to Dan and Adam
I’ve been coming here for some time now, and it’s a great gym with a welcoming atmosphere and a good mix of skill levels. Both coaches, Daniel, who leads the BJJ classes, and Adam, the MMA coach, are knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in helping everyone improve.
I recently attended my first beginner class and had a great experience. The class was well-structured and accessible, even for someone with no prior experience. The instructor was welcoming and explained the techniques clearly, creating a supportive environment where I felt comfortable learning and asking questions. The exercises were engaging and challenging in a good way. I’m really glad I gave it a try — definitely looking forward to coming back and continuing my training!
Coach Daniel was great, good friendly competitive atmosphere.
Great method do conveying the technique in a simple easy to understand manner.
Worked some since details from half guard, knee shield + reverse half.
Definitely recommend if you’re passing by.

Xplore Bjj was great to visit with everyone there was happy to welcome and roll with me. The level of the gym was high with a variety of different belts and experience sizes and everyone rolled safely.
Would recommend and I hope to attend a class next time I’m in cardiff
I moved to this gym after moving to university, with only a couple weeks of experience at my home gym. I felt welcomed from the start, the environment is relaxed and friendly, but the quality and intensity of training is spot on. Support and teaching from the coach, Dan, and the other students is great, I have not had a bad experience here. Would recommend to absolutely anyone.
My son has been attending this club for over a year and thoroughly enjoys it. The mats are always clean which is a must for a sport that requires so much floor work! The coaches and senior pupils are super friendly and helpful. The club has a real 'family feel' and each coach helps every student as much as they can. The cost of the classes are really good compared to some of my sons other hobbies. I recommend this club to everyone!
