The highlight of my visit was definitely the instructor, Steve. His expertise in martial arts is evident, and his passion for teaching is truly inspiring. He demonstrated techniques with clarity, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their skill level, could follow along. Steve’s encouragement and constructive feedback made the session both enjoyable and educational. The facilities were well-maintained, and the class structure was engaging, blending physical training with valuable insights into martial arts philosophy. I left the open day feeling motivated and eager to continue my martial arts journey. Overall, I highly recommend Wing Chin Walsall Martial Arts Club to anyone interested in trying martial arts. Whether you’re a beginner or have prior experience, you’ll find a welcoming environment and excellent instruction.
Great open day. Very relaxed and respectful. All fitness levels catered for and not as bad as expected for a 50 year old fatty like me. Great instructor and his students helped us with solid advice along the way. I'll be back for sure.

Sifu Steve is a fantastic instructor—very knowledgeable, approachable, and clearly dedicated to helping everyone develop. It’s obvious he takes a real interest in each student’s progress. Highly recommend to anyone considering martial arts—great place to train and also very affordable compared to the norm.
Training at Wing Chun Walsall from 2023 to 2024 was genuinely one of the best experiences of my life. The environment, the people, and the level of teaching all made it something special. Sifu Steve is someone who will always remain an important figure in my life. His depth of knowledge goes far beyond Wing Chun itself. He brings real fighting experience and understanding from multiple martial arts, which makes every session practical, grounded, and effective. You are not just learning forms, you are learning how to apply them with purpose. What stands out most is his approach as a teacher. He is patient, attentive, and takes the time to make sure you actually understand what you are doing, regardless of your level. There is no ego in the room, just a genuine focus on helping people improve and grow. If you are serious about learning Wing Chun properly, or even just looking to build confidence, discipline, and real-world skills, I would strongly recommend Wing Chun Walsall.
Absolutely phenomenal mix of learning the traditional art of Wing Chun (with sash grading long term) - to then also learn to mix and oppose that style with/against modern styles to make sure that you apply it properly. Sifu Fellows is a fantastic teacher from the moment we started - applying the respect of what we're learning and the journey we're beginning, while having the humility to admit shortcomings and adaptability, something the likes of Bruce Lee and others also did, but many modern pseudo-masters do not. An amazing temple and community. Start your journey with a single step too!
I recently attended a Wing Chun class, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at ease. The pace of the session was perfect for us newcomers, allowing us to comfortably receive a taster of what’s to come. Steve and the rest of the team were incredibly helpful and friendly, making the whole experience enjoyable. I had a lot of fun and can’t wait to join the group long-term! If you're considering giving it a try, I highly recommend it! You won’t regret it!

Posted 1 year agoI attended the open day and had a blast. Everyone was friendly, helpful and I didn't feel out of place even though I have no previous experience in martial arts. I would absolutely recommend.
