Frisco’s Warrior Martial Arts is like home to us. The staff has amazing character. That has attracted a wonderful group of parents, kids & created a top-notched learning environment for our 3 children. The culture matches the level of skillful instruction & accountability needed to serve the students. This place gives the respect martial arts deserves. Coach Sam effortlessly blends fun & hard work in a competitive environment. The result has been students with the grit needed to confidently face today’s world.

My son started at Warrior Martial Arts Academy when he was 4 years old. He started doing Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing 4 days a week, over the past year we have focused mainly on Jiu Jitsu. He has now been doing it for 4 years. The main reason I started my son in martial arts at such a young age is I didn't want him to ever feel scared to stand up for himself if he ever got bullied. I wanted him to have the confidence and skill set to shut it down immediately. I no longer worry about something like that happening. He has learned confidence and discipline, it has also made him much more competitive. Jiu Jitsu has also taught him humility, just when you think you are really good at it you run into someone that beats you. Coach Sam Kim is the absolute best Jiu Jitsu coach! His knowledge is vast and when you pair that with how great he is with training young kids it doesn't get any better. He is very patient with the super young kids (4-5 years old) and very relatable with the teenagers. Our youngest son just turned 4, in about six months we'll be signing him up to start training with Coach Sam!

My son has been training at Warrior Martial Arts Academy for 3 years now, and we couldn’t be happier! The instructors are amazing - they not only teach martial arts, but also help kids build confidence, discipline, and focus. The atmosphere is always positive and supportive, and we’ve seen great progress in Kirill both in training and personal growth.Highly recommend Warrior Martial Arts Academy to any parent looking for a quality program for their kids!

I highly recommend this gym! The adult BJJ coach JD Shelley is an incredible instructor. Besides his nearly 30 years experience he incorporates the perfect blend of games, drills and free rolling into every class. The owner Sam, who is also the youth BJJ coach, is also an incredible and dedicated instructor to my son. I love this gym and how it's teachers have influenced me and my son's lives. Thank you JD and Sam! Also, lots of great, kind, welcoming training partners. I'm very satisfied.

My kids absolutely love this place. They go to class at least twice a week and enjoy every minute of it. The academy maintains a positive, family-friendly environment, and the sense of community is strong. It’s clear that this is more than just a place to learn self-defense—it’s a space where kids can thrive.
