After moving to Texas from Canada, my kids and I found more than just a Jiu Jitsu school—we found a home and a new family at Progresso Jiu Jitsu! From day one, we were welcomed with open arms into an incredible community. The instructors here are world-class—highly knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly encouraging, especially with the kids. The adult classes are equally outstanding, offering detailed, well-structured instruction in a supportive and friendly environment. Professor Alexander Trans is a true legend in the sport, and he, along with the other amazing instructors and staff, has built a culture that fosters learning, growth, and fun for everyone. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner, this is the perfect place to train, improve, and be part of something special. I highly recommend this academy to anyone looking to learn the art of Jiu Jitsu and grow as an individual!

Visited while in town for work. As a black belt I look for gyms that are well ran, safe, and clean. Class was great, professor Alex was teaching. Had several other black belts. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. Planning to stop in again next time I'm in the area.

If you're interested in starting or restarting your Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey, Progresso is definitely the right foot in that direction. The Frisco school is clean, well organized and fosters a great learning environment for kids, and adults of all skill levels. The Instructors are top tier competitors who have successfully competed and won on the biggest of stages world wide. They have the unique abilities to also motivate and teach the students the gentle art, effective with attention and patience. If you're an adult, you're going to learn and get a lot out yourself from Progresso, and if you're a parent, your children are in great hands to learn a fun, healthy and dynamic sport. I started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at Progresso early March of 2024. Of all the sports and things that I've done, by far JiuJitsu has been the thing I have found a love for the most. I'm not good at it by any means, but the sport, the Professors, the school, my teammates, and the families involved here, definitely motivate me to want to keep going. The benefits are many; my weight, blood sugar, blood pressure, and everything else has dramatically improved since I started a short 7 months ago. My wife and daughter, also grew interested in Jiu Jitsu and they love it as well, so it's also added another facet of bonding for our family. Speaking of family, the connections and friendships we've been blessed with here at Progresso have been wonderful. The environment at Progresso is very welcoming and great for anyone's JiuJitsu journey. Whether you're looking to start Jiu Jitsu as a hobby, self defense, exercise, competing, reliving old glory days, restarting the journey, or looking for a community, Progresso Brazilian Jiu Jitsu might be for you. And if you're unsure or curious if Jiu Jitsu is for you or your family, Progresso does offer free, no obligations trial classes, with no pressure sales or sign ups tactics. The school even provides you with a Gi "Karate Pajamas" for your trial. You would just need to invest an hour of your own time to attend a class to feed that curiosity. Professor Alex, Professor Davi, Professor Bombom and Professor Carol are all knowledgeable instructors - come try it out; successful world class athletes - YouTube and Google their names; and just great people in general.

I started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2017 and I have been training at Progresso since 2020. Jiu Jitsu is very unique. Initially it can appear that it is a solo activity, but you soon learn no one improves unless they have a supportive team around them. The team Alexander Trans has built at Progresso is second to none. There is a strong sense of teamwork and pride among everyone who trains at Progresso. The gym is kept very clean and is well maintained. The atmosphere is very friendly and inviting. I would recommend Progresso Frisco to anyone from a person ( child or adult ) with zero experience to someone who is a seasoned professional. You are going to get a great workout in and you are going to learn something new.

I have been training Jiu Jitsu for over 6 years. Alex and his amazing team of Professors have changed the game for me. The training partners at this gym are very welcoming, and have a high level of skill. If you want the highest level of training with a great group of people, this is your gym.
