I attended the women’s self-defense class and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I was a little nervous to go, but very interested in the topic. The class exceeded my expectations. The instructor had a perfect balance of educational Information and active trials. She masterfully addressed a number of potentially sensitive topics/scenarios. We enjoyed the class so much (and also feel it is such an important skill set) that we are going to go back and bring our teenage daughters with us. It’s a really nice local family run business as well.
Posted a month agoSuch a lovely and welcoming place. I participated in a self defense class as a breast cancer fundraiser. The organization kindly donated their space and instructors. Bianca was the lead teacher and she was great. I have absolutely no experience with martial arts but it felt manageable and everyone was very helpful. I’m not based in Houston otherwise would definitely be interested in taking classes here in the future.
Posted 5 months agoOur daughter has been doing jiu jitsu here for more than a year and it has been fantastic for developing her patience, discipline, and focus. She is always excited to go to class and the gym goes above and beyond with special parties and events throughout the year. Michelle and the instructors set high expectations, but are very supportive and meet each kid where they are.
Posted 4 months agoWas able to attend an event for a breast cancer fundraiser and had such a fun night with amazing women! Learned so many great tips on self defense and was able to practice some helpful moves for safety!! Would definitely recommend Urban Jungle to anyone
Posted 5 months agoGreat Atmosphere and family oriented, comfortable for beginners. I started training with Urban Jungle with my son and Nephew a little over a year ago, I lost 45 lbs in the process, my sons behavior turned around quickly with school, and my nephew added another sport to his many. They say it takes a village and we found ours at Urban Jungle.
