Triumph is an excellent facility for both BJJ & Muay Thai. I have been attending both classes multiple times per week for about 3 months and have been very pleased with my overall experience. The owner Dan is a great guy & is extremely personable. He has a great culture going at Triumph BJJ. The coaches and other athletes have also been great to work with. Highly recommend this facility.
Great gym with highly knowledgeable coaches and a welcoming atmosphere! As a very small lady, I was hesitant in joining bjj and took a long time in making the decision to come to a class...well, wish I did it sooner. Dan, the head coach, is spectacular and makes you feel right at home. The overall community is eager to help you grow, and I never once felt out of place or like I couldn't find someone to train with.
I visited and join class in my business trip.
Dan-san and all members welcomed me very much even if it was temporary joining.
Head instructor Dan-san has greatful skills and teach us his skills kindly and politely.
I recommend Triumph BJJ strongly. There are greatful instructor and members.
Triumph is my second home. The coaching is top notch and the owner Dan is beyond knowledgeable. I feel lucky to be a part of the team and they treat everyone with kindness and respect. I’m always excited to go to classes and train here!
Dropped in mid week while in town for work. Great attitude, welcoming gym. Like most gyms, they have week-long teaching programs, and I dropped in during the middle of one of these. Not only was my partner super helpful, but the coach made sure I was on the same page as everyone else. The sparring was top notch, difficult but safe. Absolutely stop in if you're nearby.
I started my martial arts journey at Triumph and I feel so lucky to visit this gym early on. If I started somewhere else, I would have quit early on my journey.
Dan, the owner, wants the best for every one of his student’s. All the instructors share the same mindset. I always felt safe yet challenged outside of my comfort zone.
The Muay Thai program is also top notch.
This is a great place to train at any level. I’ve trained at dozens of gyms in the country and will always use this gym as the gold standard.
Awesome place. Clean, friendly and efficient. A good assortment of different levels which reflects well on Dan and Charlie. And everybody involved is helpful. That’s what it’s all about - getting better. I found a new place to live, learn and (hopefully) eventually pass on. Very worth the trip. Just show up and put the work in!
Coming in as a complete beginner with no martial arts experience nor wrestling can be daunting. From day 1 at Triumph I have felt at home, been welcomed, and pushed by the instructors. If you're looking for a place to call home - this is it.
Stopped into Triumph for an open mat while visiting family in nearby Powell. From the moment I walked in everyone was friendly and welcoming. Got to train with a ton of folks there who had great technique and some good advice to share. The owner, Dan was also very friendly and had his own input on my grappling and told me to drop back in anytime if I was in town. I highly recommend giving Triumph BJJ a try if you're interested in beginning the art.
Thanks again to everyone there for the awesome rolls.
Felt like family my first day! It was uncomfortable at first meeting new people but I felt really happy there. Rolling was great teacher was great don't have any complaints
This place really is awesome and offers multiple fighting styles it should really just be called combat central for northern Columbus.
This place is new modern well equipped and spotlessly clean.
Dan the owner has an awesome human being and a fantastic instructor.
My kids pop in here on Sundays for Judo but this place offers so much more, Such as boxing kickboxing BJJ Judo wrestling you name it they are it.
I have been going to to classes here for about a month and it has been great. It is a really inviting atmosphere and everyone is always eager to help. Dan is a great instructor and always takes the time to to show moves again or answer any additional questions. I was also able to participate in the end-of-class rolling sessions in my first week.
Triumph is more than a gym where you train in jiu-jitsu, it is a family. That sounds cliché, I realize, but it is true. Although you instantly feel welcomed and receive top-notch lessons from skilled instructors starting with your very first class, after you've put some time and effort in on the mats you really do get included into a family of some of the best people you'll ever know. Through jiu-jitsu and the comradery that comes with it, my friends and teammates at Triumph have helped me overcome things I didn't even realize were holding me back. I'm a better man for being a student there, both physically and mentally. The hardest part is walking through the door that first time...after that you'll wonder why it took you so long.
I've been coming to Triumph for about 4 months now. It's awesome having a gym that's always clean, with great coaches, and awesome teammates. Everyone is in there to help each other and push one another to be their best!
I’ve trained all over the world and with some of the best competitors and coaches in Martial Arts. Triumph is truly amazing. Some great instructors and a family like environment. They care about the students.
Visiting from San Diego, California my 8 and 10 year old loved the class. Coach Charlie and Coach Khoi are exceptional teachers with the kids. Kept the class interested and focused for the entire hour. They welcomed us with open arms and asked us to come train anytime we were in town.
Thank you Triumph and Coaches for a great Jiu Jitsu experience! OSS!
I have been training here for roughly a month now and I love this place.
The gym is full of friendly people, from Dan, the teacher, to the other trainees. If you're looking for Judo or Jiujitsu training, this is the place to go.
Can't say enough about this place. I moved back to Columbus after being away a few years, tried out the gym, and everyone welcomed me with open arms. It has the perfect balance of training and competition and all age groups are represented. Dan's the man!
Dropped in for a class on 12/27/16 while in town visiting family. The mats and space were clean and pretty big - but the people were what makes this a 5 star place. Really welcoming, and I learned a lot in the 2 hours I was there. Highly recommended!
I visited Triumph when I was home for the holidays to see my parents. Visiting a new school can be a bit nerve wracking because you don't know how the other students roll, how they will treat newcomers, etc.... Everyone I met at Triumph was friendly and inviting and enjoyable to train with. The quality of the instruction is very high and the culture Professor Dan has built there actually reminds me a lot of training in Brazil. Wish this place was around when I grew up in Columbus - def recommending Triumph to anyone who wants to learn BJJ on the Columbus area.
