If you're in the Laytonsville area and looking for a great place to train martial arts, get a good workout, or learn practical self defense skills check out Triple City Combat Sports. Coach AJ has great programs for kids and adults in BJJ, boxing, and Muay Thai. The Women's self defense class is also worth checking out if you're a female wanting to learn real life skills for self defense. Definitely worth a visit!

I have been training under coach AJ since 2018. He's a very technical and knowledgeable coach. He makes you think and explains a technique with such confidence which shows his many years of experience.

Coach AJ is a phenomenal instructor and has fostered a great sense of community inside of his gym. He pushes his students hard while still being affable and caring. I have gained a lot of confidence in myself since starting BJJ and I could not be happier that I chose to start with Triple City.

What a great place - as an older and out of shape beginner I wasn't sure how it would go, but everyone is terrific and helpful. I'm learning and getting a workout with really nice people. Somehow they manage to cover the basics with me and keep the advanced students doing their thing at the same time. I can't recommend them enough and I'm thankful for someone finally getting me off the couch!

Coach AJ is a phenomenal and well-rounded teacher with experience in MMA, BJJ, wrestling, boxing, and Muay Thai. He truly loves to watch his students (children and adults) learn and grow and is always spotting areas of difficulty and breaking things down so his students improve. If you are looking for a gym to push your growth and for a coach who cares about your development, look no further. As a female practitioner, I feel lucky to have come across a coach who has successfully helped me adapt moves to my advantage as a smaller size person. The gym is well taken care of and cleaned. The location is conveniently located in Laytonsville which is a quick drive from Gaithersburg and Germantown and great addition to Montgomery County! There is also ample parking and a 7-11 nearby if you need a quick drink or snack before or after class.
