I would recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn Brazilian jiu-jitsu that is focused in self defence. The atmosphere is super friendly and Samuel is a great coach who makes everybody feel welcomed and challenged. The training is in German, as expected, but I didn't have too much trouble following it and the coach is happy to help if you have any questions in English.

I've been training at Gracie Jiu Jitsu Nuremberg for about 5 months now and I'm simply thrilled! The trainer is extremely competent and truly committed to each and every student. He takes the time to respond to individual needs and the technical aspects are explained in extremely detailed and structured manner. The family atmosphere at Gracie Jiu Jitsu Nuremberg impressed me from the start. You really feel like you're part of a big family here where everyone is welcome. The interaction between the students is exemplary - everyone helps each other and there is really impeccable cooperation. I'm happy to be part of this great community and I look forward to training every time. If you are looking for a Jiu Jitsu school where you not only receive excellent technical training, but also want to train in a warm and supportive environment, then I can fully recommend Gracie Jiu Jitsu Nuremberg!

So I'm still pretty much at the beginning of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Nuremberg, but at the same time I'm having a lot of fun, the training is well demonstrated and you can always ask questions. What's also important to me is that I can come down from the day and work off some energy. You have a wide variety of training partners and can therefore be prepared for a wide variety of weight and size classes. There are a lot of cool people on site with whom it's great to exchange ideas. Feel free to come by and take a look, there's even a 10-day trial training session to get a taste of it.

The training is fun and absolutely helpful. Self-defense techniques are taught here with a good concept and sensible didactic structure. The trainer Sam creates a fun training atmosphere in which everyone can feel safe but is still challenged.

Since I completed my first trial training, I have been totally enthusiastic about the GJJ concept but also about Samuel as a trainer. He conveys the content in an easy-to-understand and sustainable manner. With his relaxed manner, the fun doesn't fall by the wayside. Thank you very much and I look forward to every further workout :)
