  Excellent environment for growth and the best people anyone could ask for. Huge mat-space, plenty of mentors and higher belt guys, and above all else a friendly and encouraging atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone and everyone.

  This BJJ school is the best. I have been taking my kids here for years now and it's like a 2nd family. They have fun and learn everything from the very basics to advanced submissions. Chris Blanke and the other coasches have the wisdom and ability to make champions while still making it enjoyable. One day I hope to find the time to train with them myself.

  A great established BJJ school in the Toledo area. World class instruction and great people. A good place for a first timer wanting to give BJJ a try, or a serious competitor. Kids classes are great too! Amount of available class times is a bonus. Worth checking out!

  Best coaches you could ever ask for. Good solid people, on and off the mat. Hardest part is stepping through the door for the first time. If you're thinking about it, stop in and check it out. We wouldn't make you come back, but jiu jitsu will.

  Toledo Jiu Jitsu simply is where champions train! Chris has produced several world champion competitors and dozens of world medalists. The gym has a friendly family atmosphere and is very welcoming to new members. If you want to train with the best this is the gym!

  I can't really say enough about the owner Chris Blanke, this is a very outwardly friendly and genuinely caring person. I learned from him for around three years, I no longer train because I am concentrating on other things in my life. I wish, I was still able to find the time. If you spend enough time with Chris, he will be a person you remember for the rest of your life. Such a positive influence. Besides this, he is extremely high IQ and knowledgeable in BJJ. He will teach you a new technique, or two, or three every class and explain and demonstrate these step-by-step. If you are a person, who may be a little shy, apprehensive or maybe intimidated about beginning this type of class, not sure you can do it? Just go try it out, The environment is completely friendly. Chances are you will meet even more very good people there besides Chris. I can honestly, 100% say, I never had a bad experience here and I always had a more positive mental feeling about myself.

  I've only been to a handful of Jiu Jitsu schools, but this one is special. Excellent atmosphere and culture. Toledo is fortunate to have such an incredible place.

  This place was great before Chris started the kid's class. He kicked my kid out of class for a little giggle, (she was 6) and when I messaged him about it to discuss it, he just straight up kicked her out altogether. Because I dared speak up. He is an angry man, and he only wants kids who can become "champions" to keep his name in the game. He will not care about your child if they are not up to his standards. .
