Deon’s uniquely cerebral style of teaching combined with the welcoming culture he’s created makes this academy the best I’ve ever been to. If you want to try Jiu Jitsu but are nervous because you’re not sure what the atmosphere is going to be like , look no further. This is a warm welcoming environment that will push you to be your best self on and off the mats.

I’ve known Deon for a very long time and I can say without a doubt he is a one of the most technically sound instructors in the country. I was scholarship wrestler for Michigan State and have been around grappling coaches my whole life he’s right up there with the best. I highly recommend him.

I was very surprised on how much I enjoyed training at Deon’s Gym. He made it very comfortable for someone that has never done jujitsu before. I will definitely continue to train with him.

Best gym around! Coach Deon really cares for his students & really focuses on teaching us sufficiently, it’s more of a family then anything there truly.
