Our daughter has been going to The Gentle Art Academy for a couple of years now and she loves their BJJ classes with the nurturing and encouraging coaches. Special thanks to Coach Brendan, Coach Ashley, Coach Arthur, Coach Jar and Coach Miguel for helping the kids develop focus, resilience, confidence, discipline, and determination through the fun classes.
Posted 1 year agoClasses at the Gentle Art Academy blends fun and focus, with strength and technique training and sparring exercises. My 5-year old son enjoys the weekly lessons and we have witnessed his transformation from unsure novice to gaining confidence as a mini-warrior. Coaches are professional, patient and engaging, teaching not just techniques but also respect and discipline. Highly recommended
Posted 1 year agoThe Gentle Art Academy is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school at East Coast Road that offers classes for kids, adults, and No-Gi. The school's mission is to provide a fun and supportive environment for people of all ages to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The instructors are experienced and qualified, and the school has a great reputation. I highly recommend The Gentle Art Academy to anyone interested in learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The instructors are patient and knowledgeable, and the classes are well-structured and challenging. My 7 year old daughter has been training at The Gentle Art Academy for close to one year now, and she have learned a lot and made great progress. The school also has a strong sense of community, and the students are always willing to help each other learn and grow. She has made some great friends at The Gentle Art Academy, and she always does look forward to going to class. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the experience at The Gentle Art Academy. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Posted 1 year agoBoth my boys are learning bjj at the Gentle Art Academy, the elder one for almost 3 years. The academy provides a safe and conducive environment for students young and old and the community is just so supportive. My kids have learnt to have good sportsmanship and have forged strong friendships with their classmates on top of learning the skills and techniques of bjj. Students also have plenty of opportunities to take part in competitions (both internal and external) to hone their skills. I am eternally grateful to the coaches for their hard work in guiding my children to be stronger and to have perseverance.
Posted 1 year agoI visited the Gentle Art Academy during a recent trip to Singapore and I enjoyed the experience. The no-gi session was led by Prof. Jose Arboleda. He supervised an active drilling warm-up, we did reps and it was followed by 6-7 rounds of live resistance sparring. The members were very international so it's a great place to meet people as well. The facility was very clean. The location was very easy to get to. Bus # 14 station is literally just in front of the academy. I highly recommend this place!
