Team Jucao is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym, Founded by Ailson Jucão Brites, 6th degree black belt & multiple times World Champion. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage & proper technique.
My daughter and I both go here. She loves it. I've passed on all the others in town over the years until the real deal came around. I'm so lucky to have these guys here. The kids love him like a grandpa and they learn the real moves safely.
Absolutely a fantastic place to train for kids and adults! The thing that strikes you immediately is a friendly family vibe and you really feel like you're a part of community. The quality of the instruction provided by Professor Jucao is second to none and there is a emphasis on learning the finer points of technique, respect and teamwork. Plus there is a safety mindset combined with gradual progression - it has been amazing to see how much my son has developed over the last year. In short, this is a real, old school martial arts academy in the best sense of the word. I have no reservations recommending this place to anyone.
Professor Jucão is very humble and not one to brag about his accomplishments or his status as one of the most prominent instructors in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has helped develop some of the greatest BJJ practitioners and instructors. He is also one of the most respected instructors and competitors among his peers. He lineage is connected directly to the Gracie Family as he is a Black Belt under Prof. Carlos Gracie Jr. I am not a member of his academy, but as a black belt with 15+ years experience I can tell you as a professor, you couldn't ask for a more knowledgeable and competent teacher. His ability to transfer BJJ to students of all ages, levels, and backgrounds is unmatched. If you are thinking about starting BJJ, this is definitely the instructor for you. Aside from that, the facility is definitely clean and well kept. It is very welcoming and the staff is super professional. Seriously, you can't go wrong. Don't even think about it! You will not make a mistake. Enjoy the journey!
My daughter really enjoys the kids program and has learned so much in such a short period of time. It’s rare to find such a GENUINE group of EXPERTS who are PASSIONATE about what they do. I know my daughter is learning from the best with PROFESSOR JUCAO and his entire TEAM.

I was so bored of lifting weights. I wanted to do something more functional while learing something at the same time. My friend invited me to a class and I was addicted ever since. I drive an hour to train with the legendary Professor Jucao. I even plan on moving closer to the school . No place else I'd rather be. If I didn't have to work I would train everyday. So much fun.
I always wanted to learn more about jit jitsu I was able to get on the phone with the manager and she was so helpful with answering all of my questions. I walked into the facility myself and I really loved the environment they had. I will definitely be taking my kids here. All and all great service. !!!
