Our 6 year old really enjoys Jiu-Jitsu and looks forward to every session. We’ve noticed his confidence growing as he becomes more familiar with the sport, the techniques, and what is expected of him. He’s becoming more willing to give things a go, challenge himself and keep trying when something is difficult. It’s been awesome watching him build not only his Jiu-Jitsu skills, but also his focus, discipline and resilience. We’re really proud of his progress and excited to see his confidence continue to grow.

I’ve trained at Te Maru Jiu Jitsu for 3 months now and honestly couldn’t recommend it more highly. The gym has an awesome atmosphere, welcoming, supportive, and full of good people who genuinely want to help each other improve no matter what level you’re at. Nic is an outstanding instructor. His knowledge of Jiu Jitsu is next level, but what really stands out is how well he teaches it. He breaks techniques down in a way that makes them easy to understand, takes the time to help everyone individually, and creates an environment where you feel comfortable learning and pushing yourself.
