Absolutely top-notch Jiu Jitsu academy! Substructure Jiu Jitsu has been an incredible place to train. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean, organized, and welcoming the space is. It’s clear that safety and hygiene are a top priority, which creates a great environment to focus on learning and growth. Professor Jeff Vale is truly exceptional—knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in every student’s progress, whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner. His teaching style is both technical and encouraging, making every class challenging in the best possible way. The community here is also fantastic. Everyone is respectful, helpful, and dedicated to improving together. I can’t say enough good things about this place! From day one, Jeff makes you feel welcome and supported, no matter your skill level. The instruction is top-notch—clear, patient, and packed with details you won’t find anywhere else. Classes are well-structured, with a great balance of drilling, technique, and live rolling, so you’re always learning and improving. The atmosphere is friendly but focused; everyone trains hard while still looking out for each other’s safety. Substructure is perfect for beginners or experienced grapplers. Couldn’t ask for a better place to train!
