The best gym community I have ever been part of in 25 years of sports. Facility is top notch and the coaching is the best you'll find in Teesside and beyond! - From walking in as a white belt right up to purple belt level I am now, it's been an amazing experience and I cant recommend it enough!

I left a review shortly after joining but after a couple of years, I wanted to add an update. Our son, Jamie, loves training here more than ever. Excellent coaching, clear progress, good friends - it's everything you could hope for. Thanks to the BJJ and Judo, he has grown into a calm, confident almost 13 year-old who is very fit and strong for his age. This really has been the making of him. A big thank you to Coach Jamie Taylor for always looking out for the kids, and for constantly finding ways to improve both the gym and the sessions.

Been part of this gym now for 6 weeks. Was a total beginner and I’ve learned a lot already. Felt very welcome since the day I walked in and have met some lovely people of all levels. I’ve been helped along the way by everyone especially the coaches who are brilliant and explain stuff very clearly. I love going to train and it’s the highlight of my week. I’d advise anyone thinking about getting into BJJ then start your journey here at Stealth. Thanks guys

Training at Stealth BJJ Teesside has been an excellent experience from day one. The coaches are knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely invested in helping every student improve, whether you’re a complete beginner or more advanced. The atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive — there’s no ego, just a great community of people cheering each other on. The facilities are top quality with clean mats, spacious training areas and all the equipment you need. Classes are structured, safe, fun and push you to progress at your own pace. I’d happily recommend Stealth to anyone in Teesside looking to get into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, improve fitness, or just be part of a supportive, positive club!

Training at Stealth Teesside has been nothing short of outstanding. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re welcomed into an environment that’s not only professional and well-organized but genuinely friendly and inclusive. The facilities are top-tier—clean, modern, and clearly maintained with care. The mat space is expansive, giving everyone plenty of room to roll safely and comfortably, whether you’re drilling techniques or going live. It’s obvious that a lot of thought has gone into creating a training space that supports both beginners and advanced practitioners alike. What really sets Stealth Teesside apart, though, is the quality of instruction and the atmosphere on the mats. The coaching is top-class—structured, technical, and always delivered with a focus on helping you improve, no matter your level. Whether you’re just starting out or working toward your next belt, the coaches are approachable, experienced, and genuinely invested in your development. But perhaps the most impressive thing is the community. The team here fosters a culture that’s welcoming and ego-free. Everyone helps each other grow, and there’s a real sense of camaraderie that makes training here enjoyable and motivating. If you’re looking for elite-level Jiu Jitsu training in a supportive, high-quality facility with a team that pushes you to be your best, I can’t recommend Stealth Teesside highly enough. Whether your goal is fitness, self-defence, competition, or just becoming part of a great team—you’ll find it all here.

I’ve been working in Middlesbrough on and off for a few weeks now and Stealth Bjj Teeside was highly recommended to me by a team mate . The gym itself it’s a great facility with a full gym, wash and changing area . I was welcomed in and made to feel part of the team on my first season . Jamie has a great team who are mostly competitive but there are athletes of all belt and skill levels . I will stop by for a session when I am in the area and would recommend this gym to anyone in the area who is looking to start Bjj or needs a good place to train .

Great atmosphere and culture at this club. Our 11 year old son loves it although it's perfect for any age and ability. Sessions are well structured. Techniques are demonstrated clearly and explained in simple, memorable terms. There's a fair bit of sparring but a big emphasis on safety, nice balance. The coaches are cool, switched on, and generous with their time. Students get a lot of personal feedback throughout the sessions which helps them perfect their skills. We're lucky to have a club like this in the area. No. 1 for BJJ and Judo without a doubt.

Training at Stealth has been one of the best decisions I've ever made, not only for my fitness but for my mental health too. The facilities are some of the best around, with clean showers, accessible lockers, versatile gym equipment and most importantly, spacious mats. The classes are varied throughout the week, and cover all skill levels and age groups, with multiple high level practitioners and instructors available at any one time to support and guide you through techniques, with a dedicated focus on improving you as a practitioner of the art. Most importantly, is the culture. The gym is deeply integrated into the BJJ and MMA scene, and regularly competes at all levels. It features guest trainers throughout the year, and once you show commitment through regular training and dedication, the relationships you build with everyone else is second to none. I can't express enough how good this gym is for anyone and everyone to join.

I genuinely can’t speak highly enough of Jamie and the team at Stealth. Since joining around 3 months ago at one of the fantastic value beginners course's, I’ve been made to feel really welcome. All of the instructors are knowledgeable, patient (as a more ‘mature’ student this was a real worry) and friendly. The students I’ve trained with all have a great attitude and are also really generous with their time. Couple that with the high standard of the gym itself and this makes Stealth an amazing place to train. Being new to the area I feel very lucky to have found the place and look forward to many years of training ahead.

I kept an eye on the beginners course at Stealth Teesside for a while and eventually took the plunge. That was nearly 2 years ago and I’ve never looked back. I was hesitant at first as I had no idea what Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was at first, I’d also spent the last 5 years doing. CrossFit and didn’t want to lose any fitness or strength. I can honestly a say it’s the best sport I’ve ever done and that’s mainly down to how well the place is ran and the facilities there. Apart from the brilliant coaching and camaraderie on the BJJ side there is also some top quality gym equipment included in the membership. This includes weights, machines and functional training equipment. Learning BJJ has been and continues to be absolutely fantastic. There’s an endless amount of learning to be done and you always leave the place with a smile on your face.
