My daughter has been attending Speakeasy Jiu-Jitsu and Wrestling Academy for almost 3 months. She absolutely loves Coach Colt. He explains things in such a kid-friendly manner, he is patient, an encourager, an educator, and goes above and beyond to help kiddos feel comfortable. In addition to helping them have a good time while learning important skills. My daughter has gained so much confidence in herself and her abilities since attending. It has also helped to foster a drive in her and encouraged a good work ethic. As a parent, these are character traits that can be hard to instill in your child in today’s age. Not to mention, she will be a competent wrestler by the time she gets to middle school! I’m so thankful for Coach Colt and the other coaches for pouring into my daughter!

I’ve been training here for a few months now, and this place is the real deal. Coach Colton runs an incredible program — super technical, detail-oriented, and clearly built on a ton of experience. Every class feels structured and purposeful, and you can tell Colton really cares about helping everyone level up, no matter their skill level. The vibe at Speakeasy is just awesome. It’s a friendly, welcoming crew with zero ego, but the training is still seriously high-level. You’ll get tough, thoughtful rounds and plenty of people who are happy to share knowledge after class. Whether you’re looking to compete, get in shape, or just learn something new, Speakeasy BJJ is the perfect mix of top-tier instruction and great community. Highly recommend checking it out!

My six-year-old son started jiu-jitsu here about a month ago, and it has been a great experience. I was nervous about having my son start since he had no experience, but Professor Colton immediately made us feel comfortable and right at home. He and the other instructors help with 1:1 assistance during the class for the new kids that join to make sure they get a great experience from the first day. Professor Colton has a light and fun approach to teaching the kids, but constantly reinforces important lessons like integrity and accountability. He also closes each class with a ritual asking each kid what fruit or vegetable they had to eat that day and remarkably it has motivated my son with a very restricted diet to try more healthy foods on Mondays and Wednesdays just so he has something to say. Brilliant.

Myself and my 9 year old daughter joined Speakeasy a couple months ago. It’s something new for us but it’s been a lot of fun for both of us. They keep the kids class fun but still learn a lot and work hard. The adult classes are great also. Everyone is there to work hard and learn. Everyone is respectful and keeps rolling safe. I would recommend this gym to anyone wanting to give BJJ a try. I’m excited to venture down the BJJ road with this group.

Speakeasy Jiu-Jitsu offers an outstanding kids' jujitsu program! Coach Colton is phenomenal with the children—patient, engaging, and great at teaching techniques in a fun, safe way. The classes are well-organized, balancing discipline, skill-building, and games that keep the kids excited to learn. My children have gained confidence, focus, and coordination since starting. The environment is supportive, and the facility is clean and welcoming. Highly recommend this program for any parent looking to get their kids into martial arts!
