Professor Claudio is absolutely amazing with the kids! Not only are they learning important life skills, all the kids have a lot of fun in his classes! 100% recommended!

I’ve been training with this place for 2 years now, and there has never been one bad day. Claudio is so kind and amazing and defiantly knows how to teach jiu jistu. Anyone looking for a place to learn the art of jiu jistu this is your place. This is the best place for sure.
My kids have been students here for about two years. This is a very special place, my children have grown in their Juijitzu skills with guidance and clear direction with each class. This place has heart, as a Christian family it has been such a blessing to have a foundation of faith and Jesus included in the class, this was not something that I was expecting to find when I first began my search for a class for my children and I am so thankful that it does. For me, this is one of the many reasons why this school is set apart from the others in our community. Another reason why I recommend this place is because of atmosphere of learning, the way it is taught is to break the moves down and to build the foundations up so that it is understood and taught in a way that is logical and consistent. My kids have both grown in character and in strength and agility since they first began, they have the best teachers here.
During our visit to Arizona from Alaska, I called Professor Claudio and asked if our kids could attend class during our stay. He was extremely gracious and insisted that we come in whenever we could. My family and I visit my dad in Queen Creek, AZ a few times a year and it was important to us to find a gym to train at during our visits; and I'm happy to say we have. We could tell right away that Professor Claudio's teachings focused around strong fundamentals and respect for your fellow competitors. The other kids in the class were very friendly and helped our kids when needed. We are very fortunate to have a place where our kids are happy to train. Thank you Professor Claudio.

I wanted to sign my son up to build his self confidence. Not knowing whether to do karate or jujitsu and after lots of research, we found jujitsu would be the best. After just one visit we realized we made the right choice. Claudio Riberio is fantastic and is very friendly on top of being strict when needed. Id recommend anyone to Solid Ground Jujitsu.
I am traveling full time and called up, initially looking for an open mat to get some training in. The professor was very welcoming and not only let me join their open mat, but also invited me back for classes. I got to observe the kids class and share in a fundamentals class. The kids class was great! Lots of hard work and happy faces. The adult class was also really solid. There is a good mix of white, blue, and purple belts, with a couple of brown belts on the mats the night I trained. The class finished with a lot of sparring rounds. They teach a an extremely solid fundamental jiu jitsu with a lot of great detail. It is a place I would feel extremely comfortable training at regularly and taking my own kids to. Great family atmosphere!
So glad we found this dojo! Coach Claudio is great. He is patient and very knowledgeable. He has over 30 years of experience. He is very good with all his students, children and adults alike.

Jiu Jitsu is not just a art. Its a lifestyle! if you are looking for a place to call home this is the place for you! I have two children who attend Solid Ground BJJ, and my whole family loves it. My children are challenged, encouraged, and are growing tremendously under Coach Claudio. There is a focus on connecting skills and technique to life lessons and character building. It is an awesome program.
My grandson has been attending classes for sometime now. Not only does he have fun, he is learning technique and self discipline. Claudio’s patient and knowledgeable style of instruction works well for all age groups, not only children, but adults as well. We are thankful the Lord brought Claudio to the Queen Creek area!
This place is great. We have two kids who train here (4 and 8) and they both enjoy coming to class . I would train here as well if my schedule was more consistent. Coach Claudio is patient, but firm with the kids and has a unique way of identifying their strengths and insecurities. Our older child has gained confidence and discipline since being here, which has also carried over into the classroom. Our youngest child lacks no confidence, but is able on work on humility and being humble.
I have greatly enjoyed the passionate instruction of Claudio as he has continued my training in BJJ over the past 4+ months. I highly recommend him for anyone seeking training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, as he is an excellent instructor with a heart for his students, and has years of experience training and using Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
