SJJA Maroochydore is a community. Great place to train and learn the art of BJJ in a safe and authentic environment. Coach Gus and the team have been very welcoming since day one when my son first started. Now I’m doing it as well and we’re both loving it. Highly recommend.

Coach Gus and his team are exceptionally skilled in training children. My son consistently looks forward to his training sessions with them, and the experience has been worth every investment. SJJA Maroochydore is more than just a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu School, its a community and family. Coach Gus provides a safe, engaging and fun environment and shares his passion for BJJ every class. Coach Gus understands his students learn and develop at different paces and takes his time to ensure all students find a way to progress their skill-set with his gentle but professional approach to BJJ. Coach Gus and the SJJA team have made me feel very welcome and have encouraged me to push out of the comfort zones and strive for a little more each session.

This is hands down to the best Jiu Jitsu school in Sunshine Coast. The teacher Gus is incredible — skilled, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping every student improve. The learning environment is top-notch, with clear instruction and great attention to detail. SJJA has been an amazing experience for my son. The coaches are fantastic role models and my son thoroughly enjoys attending SJJA. Would highly recommend SJJA to anyone. It is more than a sport for my son to attend, I feel as though they are providing an environment where he can grow and learn to be the best he can be in all areas of life.
