Awesome BJJ school and instructor!!! I’m 50 years old and had been 5 years off the mat when I took Six Blades up on the free week and I’m glad I did. Great group of guys to roll and engage with. It’s practically individual instruction with between 5-10 students in most adult classes. No egos, no one overly aggressive, all are there to learn and sharpen each other’s skills in a beautiful dojo. Coach Gabe’s focus and demonstration of applied techniques and a calm strategic mindset has produced some awesome training partners. My time at Six Blades has reignited my passion for the sport. Thanks Coach and team!

I waited a month to truly provide a honest and reflective review. It was the best decision to enroll our 10 year old son into Six Blades. I researched and visited 3 Jujitsu in Frederick. I wasn’t impressed despite the positive reviews online. For Six Blades, my 1st impression began when Coach Gabe remembered my son’s name through a brief call inquiring about his program. He acknowledged us right away and made my son feel like he was a part of the team by dressing him in a uniform right away. The facility was clean, well ventilated, and spacious. There’s large bay windows that allow natural light to fill the room. There’s plenty of seats available for parents and the climate felt positive with the ambient music playing in the background. There’s definitely a “Feng Shui” vibe in the place. There are 3 instructors that provide individualized attention and support when the kids are paired to apply their skills or to demonstrate new learning. What strikes me the most about Six Blades is the demonstration of care, kindness, and respect for others. The instructors model this for the kids and the kids clearly translate this to each other. Coach Gabe provides different lessons that builds upon each other from every class throughout the week. This seems to be effective because my son connected all the prior experiences and skills together to successfully submit his opponents. As a parent who wants to instill confidence and conflict resolution for my kid, this is the best environment for him to gain life long skills. My son was so hesitant to the idea of doing Jiu Jitsu, now he can’t get enough of going! This is a hidden gem and I highly recommend Six Blades JiuJitsu!

A world class BJJ school, not just a "gym". The Six Blades program develops character and integrity alongside technique and mastery. My son and I both train there, and we feel like we are part of a second family. I highly recommend
