Posted 8 months agoHonestly, it is a big blast to train there and have two of the best guys teaching us how to get better at BJJ and Muay Thai. sadly, muay thai is not available now, but talking about BJJ and the owner of the gym - Steve, I have nothing else but nice things to say. He always helps, can spend time with you talking about different kinds of stuff. it is not "paid membership, come and leave" but this gym with time becomes a family, where you can share a cold drink after the training session. 10/10 recommending if you plan on doing BJJ. they also start MMA classes soon.
Posted 9 months agoHonestly, this is an amazing BJJ gym. Steve is very pleasant and knowledgeable. I learned a lot by coming here and had a great experience.
Posted 10 months agoDon’t even know where to start! Sion BJJ is great and the reviews speak for themselves. Steve really takes his time and makes sure that everyone is understanding of the techniques and working to the best of their ability to get better. Haven’t delved into the world of martial arts before, but if you’re a willing to learn, I’d highly recommend Sion BJJ to get you started.
Posted 12 months agoSteve’s life story alone is motivation. He’s a 100% chill and treats you like you’ve known each other all your life. Andrew is an excellent dedicated to the craft Muay Thai teacher. Gio is an excellent no-gi instructor as well-detailed in the art. Their care for his students growth is unmatched. And the people who join are much like the atmosphere they created-good people.
Posted 1 year agoI returned to training after a long absence due to injury. I started training at Sion Bjj 10 months ago under Steve and these are my observations. High level instruction with classes progressively structured. Strong concepts. Big clean mat space with clean dressing rooms and full gym. Multiple classes a week with Steve teaching most of the classes. There are absolutely no egos in this gym, very good atmosphere. I highly recommend.
This is a great place. If your a beginner or a advanced expert you are going to thrive here. I have never felt so welcomed entering a building than I did here. The whole Team are very nice people and masters at their craft. I have no experience at all before here but I have always left feeling like I had the best time and learned so much since day 1. If you're afraid and nervous to go; I'll say that is totally normal, most people get nervous from what people have told me and what I experienced but they will take great care of you. They're excellent at reading your body language and seeing what your comfortable with and pushing you just enough to grow. The culture this gym fosters is beyond what I expected: respect, kindness, honesty, and all the good stuff you could want. Thank you Sion BJJ for being you!!! So happy this place exists!
Great place to train. Instructors are very knowledgeable and engaging. The fellow students are friendly and fun to work with. I look forward to going every week!
Awesome people. Amazing staff, great training. Highly recommend
Amazing new facility, fantastic instructors and great group of individuals!
I was in PA for a business trip and initially struggled to find a place to train until I found Sion BJJ. The gym itself is quite large, has a workout area, clean mats, and a nice rec space. Steve Austin, the owner, is a legit black belt with an inspirational story which really made me excited to train with him. He has a great teaching style and provides a nurturing, yet competitive, environment for his students. All of his students were tough, respectful, and quite technical which made sparring really fun. I hope to be back in the area soon so that I can train more at Sion BJJ!
Awesome place to train and have fun for adults and kids. Great people.
An amazing place to learn and train the art. Everyone here shows lots of respect and treats eachother like family. The facility is large, clean and plenty of mat space. I could go on and on... Sion bjj 10/10 would recommend
