They do a wonderful job working with neurodivergent children and making sure every child feels supported. I will start by saying that it was the best decision to enroll my kids (Aadhya & Ishan)in Satori Academy. We just started few months back and my kids absolutely love love coming to Satori. I have already seen a huge difference in my kids confidence and the ability to focus . They are much more confident now and strong already 😊. And the last but not the least they love love their Sensei’s. The Sensei’s here so helpful and so encouraging always. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My 5-year-old has been attending Satori Academy for the past two years, and I’ve been involved in the karate program for nearly two years, as well as the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) program for the past 8 months. We couldn’t be happier with our experience here. Sensei Jesse, Sensei Adam, Sensei Jerri, Sensei Jim, and Sempai Rushat are all amazing instructors who bring out the best in every student. Their dedication, patience, and ability to make classes engaging and fun have truly helped my child develop discipline and confidence. In BJJ, Professor Elon is top-notch, providing excellent instruction that caters to all skill levels, from beginners like me to more advanced students. His passion for the art is evident in every class, and I’ve seen incredible progress in both my technique and overall fitness. The karate classes have been wonderful for my son and he really enjoys them. All of the senseis and sempais are very knowledgeable, motivating, encouraging, and caring. We also celebrated my son's birthday at the dojo this summer and the team did a fantastic job! All I had to do was send the invitations (which they provided) and bring the cake. They kept the kids busy and entertained, fed them pizza, and even provided goodie bags! And my son got to break a board and cut his cake with a katana. What's cooler than that?!

It is an excellent school for Marshal Arts for kids and teenagers for both boys and girls. Their method is well structured, teachers here practice positive teaching and know how to balance a friendly and fun approach with discipline and respect twords your teachers and peers. Most lessons include a short talk about friendship, bullying, nutrition, being a teenager, etc. They are doing a great job. We are very pleased with Satori Academy.

We celebrated our 6 year old daughter’s birthday recently and it was amazing. All the kids had so much fun and they make it so entertaining and educational at the same time. If you are looking for a place to have your kids birthday party 🥳 SATORI ACADEMY is the perfect place. We recently had our daughter birthday and was the best party ever. All the kids had the most fun, with plenty of games and making sure every kid participated and enjoyed themselves . We are so pleased how the party came out and many thanks to Sensei Adam for going above and beyond to have a terrific party. My girls have been attending Satori Edison for the past 8 years, so they have literally grown up in this dojo. My daughter is in her 3rd year here because this place is so amazing at keeping kids engaged. They are not sticklers for perfection. They understand how to teach children by keeping them involved in fun instruction. They know that the improvements will come naturally with repetition. I've seen high energy kids start here who I thought were incapable of paying attention to the class, fast forward and they are indistinguishable from the rest lined up at attention. Jesse is amazing, I would recommend that if your child is hesitant to join, have him teach their first class. That being said, ALL of their instructors are amazing. Only the best make the Satori cut.

Took a class here, and I really enjoyed it. Everyone here was super nice and I loved the energy. All of the students and instructors knew each other and there was really a great sense of community. The main instructor had a good personality and was able to keep things fun while still explaining the techniques clearly and thoroughly. So if you want to learn good martial arts and get a good workout in a great environment full of friendly people, then Satori Edison is a great place to check out.

If the 100's of other 5 star reviews haven't convinced you yet, let this be the one. My kids have been going to Satori for over two years now, and it is still their favorite place to be (seriously, I have to drag them out of the dojo or they would stay there all day). They have a great adult program as well, which I have been attending as a student over the past year with a wonderful group of people. If you're interested in a fun and challenging workout, come take a trial class! The passion and dedication of the instructors is apparent in each and every class, the community atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the classes are fun and engaging. There are other dojos you and your kid could train at, but the instructors and staff here are what make Satori truly special.

My daughter loves her karate class. All the instructors are great. They teach the kids karate and discipline all while having fun.

My girls have been at Satori for few years now and we love coming here. They are very enthusiastic about attending their classes and love their teachers. The positive environment at Satori has not only built their defensive skills but have given them confidence in general which was my aim.

My son has been going to Satori since before the pandemic! They make sure to teach karate on all of the students’ levels and make sure to teach them values that will help them beyond karate class. Every student belongs at Satori and will gain the confidence they need in life.

I had originally enrolled my daughter in a different academy and that didn't work out. They were very aggressive with the small children. Here at satori they have discipline but with respect. My daughter has picked up the rhythm of it all very quickly. She loves coming to class and always has a great time. Also their camps and buddy weeks are such a great idea, she loves that she can bring a friend or family member along with her. She also wants to become a black belt so we're in for the long haul! I definitely recommend if your child needs a boost in confidence as well.

Satori Academy of Martial Arts is an amazing place and has an awesome schedule for both kids and adults. My son has been here for a year and he has achieved so much already. Upon our time here and establishing friendships with all the staff I personally took the steps and joined the adult program. There are classes every night and during the weekend so there is always an opportunity to train. Outside of the training great friendships have been established with other members. 100% recommend!

We have been with Satori for a little over a year. From the very first class, I appreciated their professionalism, respect for the kids and ability to keep the kids engaged. They are always coming up with new, fun, ways to teach the kids discipline, fortitude and self-respect. Through the past few months, they have gone above and beyond to continue teaching while going above and beyond the current health and safety guidelines. They kept up constant open lines of communication with parents/students and clearly explained their procedures. Satori was constantly tweaking their methods based on student feedback to ensure everyone was having the best (and safest) experience. By far, the park classes were the best - it got the kids outside in the fresh-air, among other kids and completely engaged in a "normal" class, all while keeping safety as their highest priority. Once the cold weather forced us indoors, the school once again came up with a variety of options for parents/students to continue learning within their individual comfort zones. My daughter looks forward to the small on-line classes - the teacher is absolutely phenomenal and has virtual learning completely figured out. Satori has become a second family to us - the staff is made up of the nicest, kindest, most caring and fun people! I'm forever impressed by their ability to befriend the kids, while also earn their respect. Easier said then done, especially thru a screen. Can't wait to get back in the school soon!!

Echoing similar concerns raised by others in the past. They’re misleading. They Tell you they teach all martial arts, it’s just watered down Karate. No live training. It’s a joke. They also con into these “ 6 month contracts “ that automatically renew conveniently when you want to cancel. I’ve tried to cancel twice and now we’ve been locked in for about a year and a half. At the beginning I was told it was a month to month contract.

Worst Location or professionalism I have across for any franchise. First they canceled my son's session booking by saying " we don't have enough staff to train your son because he is 1 month shy of 3 years" . when they have students who are less than 3 years. When I said that they are saying you paid money to different Location so talk to that Location. Now , they don't want to give my month fees I paid and asking me to use credit whenever I can. However, there system is automatically booking my pending sessions. I don't want to go back to them and have to call Everytime to cancel the system made booking even after requesting to disable auto booking. God save the students going to this Location.

Worst Academy location of all. The location is bigger with lots of students which made their sensei loss their senses and courtesy. They will be nice for an intro class but that's all. Don't expect sensible behavior after that. Wish there was an option for 0 star

What a piece of garbage “school”. They were good 5+ years ago but recently, they are falling off and do not care about the kids. They care more about putting money in their pockets and not the business. Speaking of business, the current staff is useless and does not help out as needed. The classes are crowded and extremely repeatative, as my child is getting bored and the reason we quit. And trying to quit was a freaking joke as well, lies and excuses one after another. The ONLY reason you see these “great” reviews is because of the contest that forced you to write one. Also, there are obvious reasons more than half of their staff has quit and moved on. I HIGHLY suggest finding another, more reliable “school” that will be fair to you and your child.

My daughter started satori way back when this academy was not money minded. But in recent times the amount of kid per class is overwhelming and the instructor has no way of giving individual attention. But their fees keeps increasing for decreasing services. Their black belt testing class is an absolute joke. They keep failing the kids so they can make more money. If a student does not do good in a certain skill, should that instructor tell them in the last 8 months rather than waiting in the day if the prep testing? Whichever students parents make some noise, tends to pass. Their only criteria to pass the class depends on how many times they have taken the class already. Edison township should look into occupancy restrictions in the class certainly they are way over the limit. All the good reviews you see in google are because you get to enter the raffle for those reviews.
