Rune is a brilliant place to train. Really welcoming atmosphere, high level training partners and the coaches are extremely knowledgeable.

Lineage and Pedigree. When looking for a BJJ club look and ask for your Instructors lineage & pedigree. Timelines to belt promotions. White to Blue 2 years minimum Blue to purple 2 years possibly 3 minimum Purple to Brown usually 3-4 years To get your black belt takes over 10 years of continuous training, with Rune martial arts boasting 4 regular black belts on the mats with many others dropping in, whilst in the area. Why?, they have the lineage the pedigree & the others don’t!

Very welcoming club, excellent coaches, extremely skilled but also very kind people. A lot of higher belts that are always there to help you. As a female, even my very first lesson was not intimidating (which is what you might expect from this male dominated sport). Jiu-jitsu in general is very good for your body and mind. 10/10 club.
