My daughter has been attending Rockstar for several months now, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment she walked in, she felt welcomed and supported by the coaches and staff. They truly go above and beyond to create a positive and motivating environment. Coach Lucas has a way of pushing my daughter to be her best, all while making her feel confident and capable. If you’re looking for a place where your child can grow in both martial arts and character, this is definitely the one to choose!
Posted 9 months agoOur son has been taking lessons at Rockstar Martial Arts- North Frisco for almost a year now. He has matured in ways I didn’t even know were possible- and not just his attitude and mannerisms but his confidence in how he handles himself as well. He walked in as a timid young boy who didn’t know a single thing and is now a confident boy who is gearing up for his first competition. Our goal in signing up with Rockstar was so that he could have the means to defend himself from unwanted and unplanned attacks or situations and he’s well on his way to doing just that. He’s become more confident in himself and his abilities which is a huge win for us because he typically isn’t one to stand up for himself or know how to defend himself. The coaches (especially Coach Lucas) have been a huge advocate for him and has been encouraging our son in such positive ways and we know he’s only going to get better from here. Thanks, Rockstar Martial Arts for helping our son gain confidence, strength and necessary skills to help him not just now but for the rest of his life!
Posted 10 months agoNext month marks a year at Rockstar for my daughter. The growth we have seen is incredible - she started when she was just over 4 years old. Now she's just over 5 years old and she's actually doing legit takedowns and submissions. She's also taken down a lot. But no one in the real world is going to cut her slack so when she fights with all her might to get out and still can't, she understands that there's still a ways to go, still room to grow. This is a safe environment for them to learn how to protect themselves, to find their strengths and weaknesses. Also Coach Lucas is the best. I love that he can be funny on the kids' level while still holding them to a high standard. Thanks Rockstar for all that y'all do!
Posted 8 months agoMy son started at Rockstar Martial Arts in North Frisco a couple years ago. His experience has been great. He has learned self-confidence, discipline, how there is no failing…just learning, and how to be respectful to his opponents…all while learning the great art of Jiu Jitsu. The instructor at this location is Coach Lucas Lisboa Alves. Coach Lucas has been incredible to our son coaching great technique, pushing him beyond his comfort zone, but all in a healthy and fun way. Our son has now competed in several tournaments in the area, and Coach Lucas has been there with him very step of the way…both in victory and defeat. Rockstar and Coach Lucas has been a game changer for our son.
Posted 8 months agoWe Looove Coach Lucas. He brings in the much needed discipline on the mat and is friendly with the kids at the same time. My daughter loves coming to his classes and looks forward to it every week. Sometimes the coach includes innovative games that aligns with the technique that is taught every week to keep the kids interested. The admin/coordinator, Sarah is always available and approachable to address our concerns. We love Rockstar!
