  This is honestly the best place for BJJ and has helped me out a ton! I’ve gone from knowing absolutely nothing, to having a foundation in BJJ. The professors are so helpful and caring. The students are very competitive, eager to learn, and will help you get better at your game as well. After training for 1 year, I don’t plan on stopping. Highly recommend this place for beginners and not only will you learn from this place, but you will be part of the family as well.

  I have been at Renzo Gracie Newark since I was a teen and now that I am an adult my child will be the next generation to continue on forth. There’s a reason for that and it’s cause this gym is more than a gym, I found family in this place. Best instruction, best people to be around. Best atmosphere than any gym out there by far.

  Professor Matheus is welcoming and knowledgeable and has made an environment that is both competitive and supportive. The instruction was great and rolling partners of every level were respectful and talented. If you are looking for a place to train, Renzo in Newark is an incredible spot.

  This place is the real deal. Renzo Gracie Newark is a supportive and engaging environment with powerful and respectful people who want nothing more than to see you grow. Make no mistake, however. These people are the real deal. They will push you to your absolute limits, they will show you where you went wrong in a roll and when you show up, you do things the Renzo Gracie Newark way. Real Jiu Jitsu is the hardest thing I’ve ever done, and this place breathes real Jiu Jitsu. I’ve been to multiple gyms for Jiu Jitsu in New Jersey, no gym comes CLOSE to Renzo Gracie in terms of pure quality. Renzo Gracie Newark pushes you. Renzo Gracie Newark shows you true Jiu Jitsu. Renzo Gracie Newark wins tournaments Renzo Gracie Newark lifts you up. If you want to learn how to actually fight effectively, or if you’re trying to do MMA?
