Great atmosphere and good facilities very welcoming team and high level grappling
My son has just started grappling and is really enjoying it. Kelvin has been welcoming, professional and is great at what he does. Would def recommend!
I recently joined this circuit training class as a complete beginner, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The coach, who is an ex-Commando Marine, brings a huge amount of knowledge, discipline, and energy to every session, but in a way that is really encouraging rather than intimidating. From day one, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. As someone new to circuit training, the coach and the other circuit goers made me feel completely at ease. There’s a real team atmosphere, with everyone supporting each other and helping you push that little bit further than you think you can. The sessions are challenging but adaptable to all fitness levels, so you never feel out of your depth. It’s a great place to build confidence, improve fitness, and be part of a really positive group 💪🏽
Loving my time with coach Kelvin and the lads. Been coming for the past month and everyone is so welcoming and the classes are very enjoyable. Especially as a beginner you want to feel safe in the training environment and have a great coach who is always there to help and makes you feel seen/heard (which I feel is so important). Reel grappling is a great environment and has a great community of members!
After training at Reel Grappling with Kelvin for the past 3 months, I can confidently say this is an excellent gym for both beginners and experienced grapplers alike. Kelvin has a deep, well-rounded knowledge of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and teaches it with humble confidence that makes everyone feel welcome and motivated. The instruction is clear, technical, and progressive—exactly what you want in a BJJ environment. Having taken a long break from martial arts myself, I was looking for the right place to ease back in without feeling overwhelmed. Reel Grappling turned out to be perfect: supportive atmosphere, solid fundamentals, and a real sense of community. Highly recommended!
I attended a ladies only session at Reel Grappling with Kelvin and his team and had a really great experience. Kelvin and his team were knowledgeable, friendly, and professional, creating a relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to feel comfortable and get stuck in. The timetable offers a wide range of sessions that I will definitely be looking into and attending in future. Highly recommend!
The fundamentals class was the perfect introduction to BJJ, not only was it a fantastic full body workout, but instructions were clear. Kelvin gives you the confidence to have a go and gives feedback constructively. I highly recommend Reel Grappling for anyone interested in trying out BJJ, but also for anyone more experienced in the sport to train with Kelvin, he coaches the classes and encourages you to push yourself. His military background is noticeable, especially with the structure and efficiency of how the classes are delivered.
Posted 1 year agoI've had the privilege of working with Kelvin for a long time, and I can confidently say he is one of the most kind, compassionate, and dedicated people I've ever met—on or off the mats. His new BJJ coaching business is an absolute gift to anyone looking to grow in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner. What sets Kelvin apart isn't just his deep technical knowledge and skill in BJJ (which is truly top-tier), but the way he teaches. He's an incredibly good instructor—clear, patient, and always attentive to the needs of each student. He creates a positive and welcoming environment where people feel supported and challenged in the best way possible. If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares about your progress, not just as a martial artist but as a person, look no further. Kelvin has poured his heart into this, and it shows. I can't recommend his coaching highly enough.
Posted 1 year agoI learnt of these classes from a colleague and friend at work. I have been considering a form of martial art for a while. Not knowing which one to pick but knowing I want to learn some kind of self defence. BJJ definitely ticks the boxes! Being someone who is very cautious going into a very physical class. I can tell you that it is very supportive and I keep going. The first session I went to was very advanced, but from the second session onwards it has been ideal due to the additional of "fundamentals" classes. This is an example of how at Reel Grappling, they take on feedback to adapt for those training. Major plus point. Supportive and friendly classes which allow the practice of techniques. Highly recommend. :)
Training with Coach Kelvin has been a great experience. His jiu jitsu knowledge combined with his specific teaching style, creates the perfect environment for both beginners and advanced athletes. Would definitely recommend to everyone!
Posted 1 year agoAbsolutely Loved My First And Second Class At Reel Grappling The Class Was Structured And Relaxed With A lot Of Detail Presented When Showing The Techniques. Great Atmosphere With A Great Bunch Of People. Hugely Recommend This If Your Just Starting Out Or Even If Your Advanced.
