The owners of this gym are such great people and are very passionate about jiu-jitsu. The community they have created and the good vibes from the people that frequent the gym speak to how important this gym is for Sohum. This is a special place in the southern Humboldt community!

My child loves the kids classes! He has learned so much about discipline, patience, confidence, and how to practice with kids in a wide age range. Highly recommend this dojo! A great addition to our small town!

Redwood jiu jitsu has been a great activity for my daughter. With a consistent schedule of M/W/F. The instructors are firm, fair, and hold the kids accountable. Building self confidence and discipline into the youngsters.

With a clean training facility and informative coaching you stand to learn skills with every class . The instructors experience shows with his techniques and clear communication. His well mannered confidence in instructing the little worriers , the kids is fun , productive and a palpable evolution . “ learning ju jitsu gives you tools for life “ come in and become aware and capable of protecting yourself and family in real life defense .

Great space and awesome people. Love having a safe welcoming place to train and learn Jiu Jitsu in Garberville. Definitely recommend for a good learning experience whether you live in southern Humboldt or just passing through.
