I called ahead and spoke with Travis to let him know I’d be coming by. When I arrived at Profectus, Logan greeted me at the door—literally opened it for me—and welcomed me in like I was already part of the team. He walked me over to the desk to sign the waiver, and the whole vibe was so warm and friendly that I almost felt like I’d been there before. When class started, Logan was professional, articulate, and clear in his instruction. It was an open-format class focused on positioning with time for questions. He took time during every drill to give individual feedback and even coached while rolling. On top of that, everyone I rolled with was both tough and incredibly nice. Great training environment with a great group of people. Highly recommend Profectus if you’re in the Nashville/Hendersonville area!

Profectus has been wonderful for me and my family over the last 3 years. My stepson started jiujitsu at Profectus in 2022, his dad started on August of 2024 and they inspired me to start in January 2025. As a woman in my 40s, the idea of starting a new activity, especially an activity like jiujitsu was a bit overwhelming and scary, but Professor Travis and Professor Logan are the best. The group of women at Profectus are the most inspiring and welcoming group. I have quickly fallen in love with the sport and the community that Profectus has given my family. We love this place! My wife had found Profectus based on a review from a local Facebook group. Our 6-year-old started in July and really came to enjoy his classes and is always pumped when he gets to go to class. Professor Travis & Logan along with the rest of the coaches have taken their time with the kids and take pride in their development. Seeing the impact on him I went ahead and started taking classes which have been extremely beneficial for me. It’s a fantastic workout, a positive environment and a class schedule that allows me plenty of options to make classes with my hectic work schedule.

I can’t say enough good things about Profectus Jiu Jitsu! My son has been attending for two years now, and it all started with Professor Logan, who runs the kids' class. He has created a fun, competitive, and, most importantly, safe environment for the kids. As a result, my son has not only fallen in love with the principles of Jiu Jitsu but also the welcoming Profectus community. Witnessing my son improve his ability to think under pressure and stay calm during tournaments has been incredible. This is an excellent place to learn Jiu Jitsu with a great family environment. The kids program has an amazing blend of great technique, discipline and fun. Having come from another gym in the area where I had a less-than-ideal experience, Profectus has been a breath of fresh air. I can’t speak highly enough of all the coaches and kids there, they are all extremely good at what they do! Everyone is so respectful and helpful. Seeing how the older kids are able to adapt and help the younger kids is such a good thing to see. The owner professor Travis is extremely kind and helpful and a great coach! Coach Logan is great with all the kids, he definitely deserves plenty of praise for that on top of being a great coach! Hendersonville really needed this. This is a great place to start your kids in BJJ. Logan is an amazing trainer for young kids. All the other coaches are amazing as well. Advice to parents: Make sure your child is ready to enter Jiu. Too often I see small children who aren’t ready be put in the class and are a huge distraction to the rest of the class. Leaving everyone frustrated including the small child. They need to be ok with losing, with learning the hard way and not whining. The coaches aren’t parents. They are teachers. Make sure they don’t need to parent your child. That’s your job.

The community professor Travis, coach Logan, coach Dennis, and coach Kevin have created there is unrivaled. You will find nothing but encouragement for your journey and support in whatever goals you have. The training is top tier and there is a wealth of knowledge to be found. You can see that all the instructors thrive on watching you improve and only wish to help you become better. The basic membership rates are very reasonable and they offer private lessons, as well. I also really enjoy that they are constantly uploading short instructional videos to their Instagram page to help their students learn and improve on techniques outside of class ( insta: Profectus_hville ). If you are looking for a jiu jitsu gym in the Hendersonville area, rather you are a beginner or advanced, I can’t recommend Profectus enough!

Huge shout out to Logan Nash and Profectus. I believe every girl needs to be able to defend herself. Everly started doing Juijitsu when she was 4yo at a different school. Logan also taught there but then moved to a different school shortly after. I was always impressed with how great Logan was with the children. Shortly after Logan left, Everly got really discouraged after a bad sparring match and didn't want to do Juijitsu ever again. It hurt to watch as I knew she was really progressing in the sport and really enjoyed it. Since then we visited a few other schools and I never got her passed "I just want to watch Mommy" :( Last fall I found out about Logan and Profectus and I immediately reached out to him. I explained Everly's lack of confidence and trust but Logan was up for the challenge. Everly remembered Coach Logan so she (reluctantly) agreed to do a private lesson. It took her a few lessons before she agreed to attend a class with other kids. Fast forward to this belt promotion she is now excited to go to class. Thank you coach Logan for helping Everly find the love for Juijitsu again. Goes to show that a good teacher, whether in sports or the classroom, first understands the needs and challenges of a child and then provides the tools to help them succeed.

If you have ever thought about trying Jiu Jitsu I'm telling you this is the place to do it. My 8 year old son asked me for 2 years to get him in, and I would always tell him that I would. When I finally decided to get him in, I chose Profectus Hendersonville because of the first conversation I had with Professor Travis. The first day I took my son I saw how fast he learned and caught on. As a youth pastor for 4 years and a pastor for 21 years, I immediately saw coach Logan's love for the sport, and how talented he was, and how well he worked with the kids. One month later to my surprise, I tried a class, and absolutely loved it! The great thing for me was they allowed me to go at my own pace and helped me begin where I was. In just 2 months I have lost weight and am already eating better and FEELING better today than I have in 20 years, NOT kidding. STOP waiting and get here you will not regret it. Professor Travis and coach Logan are the most professional guys you will meet, and the knowledge they provide is amazing. I can’t say enough about how my jiu jitsu has improved in just a couple months at this gym. The coaches are thorough with their instruction and focus on helping their students understand how and why the techniques are effective. Unlike other gyms I’ve been to, the situational rolling at the end of class gives me an opportunity to practice what I’ve learned, experience the counters to those same techniques, and have a deeper understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of each position. Well If I didn't see it for myself I cannot believe how Amazing Logan is with All the kids. He is so patient and kind. Full of Life. He always takes his time and our grandson would go everyday if we would let him. His whole outlook on life has changed. He is now such a happy child. If you are in Hendersonville, or close to it, and want to try Jiu-Jitsu for the first time or if you are experienced and looking for a place to train. This is the gym. Travis and Logan are excellent instructors who provide a wonderful culture that is suited for everyone from beginners to seasoned competitors. The facility is very clean, everyone is welcoming and courteous, and everyone is there to learn and have fun, while trying to get better every day. Highly recommend this place!

My son (15) and daughter (10) have trained with Logan for 4 years. Logans ability to teach techniques on multiple levels for multiple kids to understand is second to none. My kids love Logan and love training with him. Most importantly Logan is a good role model on and off the mats.

This was completely new for us and within days we felt like we had gained a bigger family. Coach Logan is amazing. He has so much energy and truly has a love for coaching. Our kids are eager for class and who gets to roll first! He has given them a great start and has truly lit a fire for learning with each of our little ones. I am a critical reviewer and have high expectations for others and myself. I have the highest expectations for those people who I allow to be influential in the lives of my kids. In the case of Profectus BJJ, I can truly say that all my expectations have been blown away. The organization is professional and somehow family at the same time. The coaches are not just technically excellent, but also personally excellent. My three children have trained under Coach Logan for the past year and have grown in many ways. He demonstrates an exceptional skill as a physical educator and balances fun and discipline well. The rewards have far outpaced our monthly tuition.

This place and these people are absolutely amazing. We first met Logan at the old UFC gym and for years they were like a second family. His teaching of my middle school son to defend himself with respect stuck with him all these years and I also see it in the way these gentlemen teach everyone else. It’s a great workout for me and I’m so glad to see them finally here in Hendersonville. Just good people doing great things for their clients and community.

Going in I was very green and extremely ignorant when it came to jiu-jitsu. Coach Logan was literally a walking encyclopedia of knowledge and didn't hesitate to break down every question I had, and answer them to make sure I was in compete understanding of each and every question I asked. Coach Logan also went out of his way to help my daughter if she was drilling anything incorrectly so that she was doing each drill correctly. We are both better off having Coach Logan in our lives

I had the opportunity to visit Profectus in Hendersonville, and had an amazing time. The instructors were very articulate and detailed when teaching a technique.
