  I couldn’t recommend Mike and Praxis BJJ highly enough. I train with Mike three times a week and in each class I’m guaranteed to learn and improve. Mike is always full of energy and is great at coaching the class as a whole, as well as individuals within each class. For any person of any ability I recommend Praxis for all your BJJ or Judo classes. He’s very patient and can help even the most uncoordinated individuals, as I could tell you from experience. I don’t think you’ll find anyone with that much energy at 7am!

  I’ve known Mike (Praxis BJJ & Judo Coach) since late 2021, this was when I returned to BJJ after a large time off the mats. Mike is one of a dying breed , he’s what I would call an “old school gentleman” with the ability to wrap you up like a Christmas present via his knowledge and ability in both Judo and BJJ. His attention to detail and ability to Coach various levels of grappling practitioner makes him a true asset to the VSBJJUK and Praxis team I personally attribute my return to form and promotion to purple belt to Coach Mike , Coach Henry and Head VSBJJUK Coach Colin. On top of BJJ, I also train under Mike in the discipline of Judo. I use his teachings to supplement my BJJ and Submission Wrestling training , which has I believe has improved massively. I am also lucky enough to Coach the VSBJJUK juniors squad and this means I get to hand down knowledge directly from Mike to the next generation of grapplers( including my own Son ) Bottom line from me, for anyone wishing to start, restart or improve their grappling. Mike is a great Coach and always has a smile on face on and off the mats!

  I attend Judo classes with this club. Mike and his students are friendly and welcome new starters and ensure all people get the attention they need to progress. What I feel sets this club apart from others I have tried is rather than teaching how to do a technique as a one size fits all solution, there is an explanation of how a technique has evolved and how you can use this information to make it work for yourself in different situations. This makes the training far more personal and targeted.
