Coach Mikhail is an amazing athlete, coach, and person. Just an all around solid guy! If you want to get better at Jiu Jitsu, this is your place! Coach Mikhail might not give you the soft gentle push if you’re looking for that, he’s going to push you and not sugar coat it. Which is the best kind of Jiu Jitsu IMO. My favorite day of the week is going to freedom jiu Jitsu and training hard.

Mikhail and Ashley are fantastic people. I was looking for a drop in class just to get a quick session and they were more than happy to allow me some mat time. The team was friendly and I felt right at home. Mikhail was a great training partner. The transitions from position to position felt smooth and very natural. Roll with Mikhail and you will see his jiu jitsu is super legit and he is willing to share the vast knowledge and experience he has acquired over the years. If you are ever in the area or looking for a gym to call home this is the one! Again thank you Mikhail and Ashley for opening your gym to me and thank a to your team for making me feel right at home.

This has been the absolute best thing I have ever done for my son! Coach Mikhail is the absolute best! He's super patient but firm. My son has lost so much weight and gained so much maturity. I'm so glad I found this gym.

FJJ offers high level instruction and plenty of classes to fit just about everyone's schedule. They also recently kicked off a kids program and women-only classes. Being a new gym, we are still growing and class sizes are currently pretty small. This allows for more personal and detailed instruction. However, FJJ hosts an "open mat" session every Sunday (free to everyone) where we often have visitors from many different gyms in the area. This is great to test yourself and to prepare for competitions if you choose to participate in them (which is not required). I'm a happy customer.

I’ve known Mikhail since we were both wide eyed brown belts. His passion for jiu jitsu, and for paying his knowledge forward has always been evident. Whenever I frequent Florida, his is THE academy I visit. Solid jiu jitsu, even better character. 10/5 stars.
