For about a year, this has been my home away from home. This is a gym based on the foundations of technique and community. Derek Overby is one of the kindest killers you will ever find to learn from and he has built a special place and team. This is a place where safety and respect are practiced. Whether you are a high level practitioner looking to sharpen your skills or a brand new student looking to learn, this gym has a place for you. Come for the Jiu-Jitsu, stay for the homies.

Been to a lot of gyms in the area and the energy I immediately felt from the teammates and coach at Kuzushi was the passion for jiujitsu. If you’re looking for a legit modern day nogi jiujitsu gym, from hobbyists to competitor, come through!
I’ve trained at multiple gyms from Pensacola to Gulf Breeze and this is by far the highest level gym in the area. Super personalized coaching and everyone is super laid back and friendly. Saturdays are free to come check it out.

Everything is taught in ways that are easy to understand so that you can learn how to apply concepts rather than being a one trick pony. I drive all the way from Baldwin county to train here and you will not meet a better group of guys and girls to train with, they are dedicated and motivated to make you and themselves better at the sport. It’s a great and fun environment with an outstanding kids program. If this team is at a tournament I guarantee there will be Kuzushi club members in the winner circle
I travel to Pensacola a lot and stop in to train here when i’m in town. Very welcoming and incredibly clean gym. Derek and the team there offers high level training but still a great environment for beginners. 10/10 recommend
Started training as a hobby then got addicted, this gym has taught me on and off the mats. I became a successful competitor but also have fun with the squad! This is the gym to have a good time or become that competitor you want to be!

I Dmd every 10th planet dude I knew moving down to Pcola wondering if there was anything near by and was introduced to this fine gym! The people here are solid, the gyms we train with and around are borderline family. If you want a solid training room, and I mean solid, and be around a good group of people then this is the spot you NEED to hit up!

The absolute best NoGi gym in town! Coming from 10th Planet and Sean Applegate lineage this is definitely the place to train. Great competitors in the room as well as the best vibes you could ask for!
