  My family and I have been training at this BJJ gym for little over a year now, and I can confidently say it has been one of the best decisions we’ve made. My husband, my 8-year-old son, and I all train here, and from the very beginning we have felt welcomed and supported. The instructors are extremely professional, patient, and highly knowledgeable. They take the time to teach proper technique, discipline, and real self-defense skills in a way that is easy to understand and apply. Over the past year. As a woman and a mother, it means a lot to be in an environment where I feel safe, secure, and respected. This gym truly provides that. The atmosphere is positive, encouraging, and family-friendly, and it’s clear that everyone genuinely wants to see each other improve. My son has also benefited so much from being here. He has learned discipline, focus, and confidence, and I love that he is surrounded by great role models and a supportive community. We’ve also made so many friends along the way. We are truly thankful to have found a gym that feels like a second home. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for high-quality training in a welcoming and positive environment!

  I checked out 3–4 different gyms across Greensboro, Durham, and Chapel Hill before ultimately choosing Paulo’s gym—and it was easily the best decision. Even living in Greensboro, I make the drive three times a week, and I’d go more often if I could. The instruction is top-notch across the board. Whether it’s the kids classes, adult beginner/intermediate/advanced gi, or no-gi, every coach is knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping you improve. What really sets this gym apart is the people. The team culture here is something special—welcoming, motivated, and always pushing each other to get better. You really do become a product of your environment, and this is the kind of place that makes you want to keep showing up. I’m proud to be part of the community Paulo has built, and I plan to train here for as long as I can.

  Training under Professor Paulo Santana has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. Paulo is not only an incredibly skilled instructor, but he truly cares about his students on and off the mats. He teaches with patience, attention to detail, and a level of passion that pushes you to improve every single class. His wife, Pricilla, is the backbone of the gym. She keeps everything running smoothly and always greets everyone with a warm, welcoming attitude that makes the place feel like home from the moment you walk in. The rest of the coaching staff Professors Bolinho, Chris, and Brent are just as solid. Each of them brings their own style and knowledge, and they’re always willing to help, answer questions, and make sure you’re growing. This gym isn’t just about training it’s a community. Whether you’re brand new or experienced, you’ll feel supported, challenged, and respected here. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

  I have been involved in BJJ/MMA for 20 plus years. This is by far the best academy in the area. My son has learned so much over the last year and has transformed into a different person right before my eyes. He loves Paulo and the kids class is amazing. I also take classes from Paulo and can tell you the skill level is very high at PSBJJ. Every student reflects the positive attitude and respect that the professor is an example of. I am so happy we found PSBJJ.

  You are family as soon as you walk through these doors. Can honestly say ive never felt more welcomed going to a new academy, Paulo offers world class jiu jitsu with a friendly environment that makes you never want to miss class 💪
