Great school where focus is on learning and technique and not games and filler activities. Lessons are taught by the owner who is a black belt and he gives individual instruction to each of his students. Owner is great with the kids and the lessons given are taking my ten year old to the next level. We couldn't be happier and highly recommend this school to anyone who is serious about their self defense and grappling skills. 10/10

Michael is a great teacher! He runs a clean (and well designed) gym devoid of distractions (like loud music). His classes are relaxed, yet disciplined and follow a set structure Also, he routinely rolls with the students to keep his skills sharp...and keep our egos in check. The culture is great as the students are friendly and eager to learn. And the unheard of feature of having 545 am classes Mon through Friday obliterates any excuses for people who claim they can't fit training into their schedules. I highly recommend this place!

As soon as I walked into the doors of OneTen for the first time I was welcomed by an amazing community of people who want to see you grow and thrive in the art of jiu jitsu. Professor Michael is incredibly accommodating to unique needs on the mat and is extremely supportive. Professor Michael is a great instructor and wants to ensure you are understanding what is being taught and takes his time with you if you are struggling in any areas. If you want to find a place learn and engage in the art of jiu jitsu in which you are supported and motivated by others you won't find a better spot than OneTen.

I am hooked! The Warrior Challenge is a great way to learn BJJ fundamentals while also getting in great shape. Coach Michael does an amazing job explaining techniques and is able to help everyone no matter how large the class is. With the kids classes, Coach Michael does a great job keeping the kids interested and eager to learn while also having fun. To top it all off Elsie at the front desk is friendly, knowledgeable, and always eager to answer questions. I started a week ago (my 15 year old daughter a month ago) and already feel like family.

You will learn more with Professor Michael Darcy in a month than a year under other coaches. Professor Darcy (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt) comes to the valley with years of coaching and teaching experience, and it shows. His attention to detail is amazing, and has helped his students progress significantly in a short period of time. Professor Darcy is a family man with military background. This comes together in his individual care that he expresses to his students. He has coached both of our children. He held them to high but attainable expectations, but also cared for their growth, development, and safety. My kids highly respected Professor Darcy as do I. I am in my mid-forty’s. Professor Darcy understood the demands on my life outside of Jiu Jitsu, yet inspired me grow and go further in Jiu Jitsu. His coaching techniques helped me become confident and comfortable in the techniques taught. You are making an excellent choice if you select Professor Michael Darcy and 110 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

This is the best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym in Scottsdale. I trained here for a while under Professor Michael before I moved back out of state and my experience was amazing. I was really nervous before I started because I had no previous exposure to this sport and didn't know what to expect. Professor Michael is so welcoming, approachable, down to earth, and encouraging. You can really tell that he cares so much about the progress of all of his students, as well as their safety. He really has the heart of a teacher and takes that responsibility seriously. One thing that stood out to me is that he was always carefully watching every single roll and every drilling session to really make sure that everyone understood the concepts, properly performing the techniques, building good habits, and staying safe. Professor really emphasizes technique, not only demonstrating proper execution of a certain concept but also taking the time to explain why it is important. In regards to training partners, there is such a great group that trains here and it is a really supportive, collaborative, and welcoming environment, but also tough; everyone pushes one another to get better. I am so grateful to have been able to train here during the time that I did and for everything that I was able to learn from Professor Michael and my fellow training partners. The success and growth that I experienced being a part of this academy also carried with me off the mats as I was able to see a noticeable improvement in my self-confidence and my approach to other areas of my life. This is a top tier place in AZ to train for men, women, and kids of all ages. Whether you are a hobbyist, a serious competitor, or looking to learn self-defense, I believe that there is a place for you here and I am 100% confident that Professor Michael will be able to help you reach your goals. Whenever I'm in town, I'll be sure to drop in and get my roll on with the One Ten Team! Thank you Professor Michael!

Our kids are loving this experience. They are learning discipline and how to respond to situations from an intelligent problem solving perspective. They are still very new to it but I’ve noticed a big boost in confidence from my 9 year old boy. My daughter is having fun with it and enjoys the fact there are other girls in the class. Then there is my youngest that is the rambunctious type and needs the discipline. This type of training is beneficial for all people. From a self defense stand point I want my children to be able to stop someone from hurting them no matter how big they are and I think they can learn that here.

Michael Darcy and One Ten came highly recommended from a friend of mine who competes and actually understands the BJJ world (neither of which apply to myself). I was looking for somewhere to get my son in to Jiu Jitsu. After almost a year One Ten has exceeded expectations. Trying to find a balance of discipline and fun with little kids is nothing short of impossible but Coach Michael does. My kid experiences frustration, pride, fun, and exhaustion each class, then still wants to go back the next day. Somewhere in this whole process I decided to start going to class myself which I never saw myself doing. It’s been one of best things I’ve ever done for my physical and mental health to start my day with an hour and a half of the mental and physical challenge of BJJ. Coach Michael’s teaching is great and he’s created a culture amongst the people that attend One Ten that is welcoming to new people who have never done Jiu Jitsu as well as people who have decades of experience. Would recommend One Ten to anyone 🤙

Beautiful academy with a top notch instructor. I first trained with Michael around 5 years ago and immediately enjoyed his teaching style. I have had the chance to train at four schools and drop in to many more over the ten years I have been training. One Ten is a fantastic school and I highly recommend it. I trained there for a few months before moving and the school was welcoming and had a great family/team environment. Michael Darcy is a great coach who has trained at some of the best academies in the state and earned his black belt under Shaolin, who is a legend in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. His instruction is great and he takes the time to break down techniques to show the finer points in angles and leverage to show why the technique works. He is also very open to questions, checking in with his students throughout the class to see if there is anything they are working on that they want more help with. If your interest is in the sport side, self defense side, or just looking to get in shape Professor Darcy works with you to meet your training goals. Give it shot, take a trial class and see for yourself.

I am not one to write a review of pretty much anything, but for this man, I happily will. I started training jiu-jitsu over 10 years ago now, and I have Coach Michael to thank. He changed my life so drastically for the better. I was not in the best place mentally, having battled depression for many years. Michael gave me something to be proud of. Goals to achieve. A place to feel like I was at home, where people cared. We trained together under a world famous coach, but Michael is the one who made me fall in love with jiu-jitsu. Jiu-jitsu gives you mental strength, and the confidence to know that you can handle yourself in any situation that may arise in life. It's amazing the amount of things that you can apply what you have learned in jiu-jitsu to. There is no man I would rather train with, and no man I would rather learn from. Please, please, please, do yourself a favor and head over to One Ten Jiu-jitsu and change your life for the better. Your world will never be the same. Thank me later. John W.
