Dropped in for a no gi class a few weeks ago. A couple of things stood out to me. 1. Gym is very spacious and very clean. 2. Felt welcomed right away. The woman working at the front desk and a lot of the guys that trained here were very friendly 3.despite the huge mat space, the mat filled up fast. Big classes with lots of different styles and talent. 4. Other amenities like changing rooms and a section with weights as well. This is a great gym with great coaching and a great group of martial artists. I definitely recommend checking it out
Posted 8 months agoThis gym has it all. MMA, Boxing, Kickboxing, Jujitsu, Wrestling. Coaching staff is great! They make you feel welcome from day one. Great for kids and adults.
Posted 8 months agoWorking out of town and wanted to find somewhere I could get some rolls in. Made it to Wednesday night no-gi class and had a blast. Great group of people. Everyone I partnered with was welcoming and worked with me when I had questions. Unfortunately I had to catch an early flight and wasn't able to get a gi or striking class in, but if I'm ever back in town I will most definitely stop in. Thanks for a great class you guys!
Posted 9 months agoI’ve been a member at North Andover BJJ for 2+ years. I started off just taking the boxing classes and was honestly pretty nervous to try jiu jitsu. Coach Kyle encouraged me to give it a shot, and I’m so glad I did! I ended up loving it and still do. There are a lot of women in the classes, which really helped me feel comfortable starting out. The gym has such a great family atmosphere - it’s fun, welcoming, and everyone looks out for each other. The new front desk staff is super friendly and easy to talk to, and all the coaches are quick to give personal feedback with patience and real knowledge. It’s just an awesome place to train and be part of a community.
Posted 10 months agoBig shout out to North Andover Jiu Jitsu! Honest review here..Decided to sign my 5 year old son up 3 months ago because he had his first bully in school and I wanted him to learn to defend himself if need be, and I’m glad I did. Not only has it given him a little confidence, but discipline as well. Coach Kyle does a great job at preparing them for actual jiu Jitsu and making it fun along the way. This place has a great balance for those that just want to train recreationally but also for those that seek to compete. I sat and watched my sons classes for 2 months before I decided I had to join for myself. 1 month in for me so far and I love it. Great energy from the folks that train here and all I can say is that I wish I’d joined sooner.
We introduced our 7YO to the Kid’s Gi classes about 6 months ago - it has transformed our child’s confidence and discipline in ways that we could only dream of. Coach Kyle and his team welcome everybody into their gym with kindness, patience, and a hard work ethic. After watching my child grow so quickly, I decided to join the adult Gi program and have truly enjoyed meeting many people from every walk of life over the last few months. It is a training facility for the community, and you feel that when you are observing, but more so when you are participating. With the free trial classes, you are allowed the time and space to determine what class/training program is a good fit, which is a great no-pressure option to understand where you would fit in. I cannot say enough great things about this business and their culture. If you are curious, give it a try - I doubt you/your child/your friend will regret it!
Kids have a blast. Tons of fun. Great coaches.
I recently joined North Andover Jiujitsu after my previous school unfortunately did close, and I was searching for a new jiujitsu home with my dad. This is one of the coolest places I've ever trained, with a very laid back but respectful vibe and a safe but hard style of rolling. I'm a nineteen year old female, and like many females in the sport, I've had (althought thankfully, very few) negative experiences rolling with people without self control or without proper training on submissions and overall mat etiquette. I have not encountered a single experience like that since joining this school. The training style is fast paced, tough, but VERY safe. I've had some really amazing flows as well as full out rolls since joining. I also want to say that the school itself is very welcoming. Coach Kyle was open and inviting from the getgo, and I felt zero pressure or anything of the sort from him. He's awesome! I was a bit nervous on how it would be transferring here from another school, as I am a blue belt and my father is a purple belt, but it was no different than it would be with anyone else. Once I got over my initial shyness, I was easily able to talk and roll with everyone, and everyone was incredibly nice and like I said before, very welcoming. Even after being here for a couple weeks, people still regularly check in and ask how I'm liking the school. It's really truly appreciated. In short, the school is clean, has a very cool vibe, is very safe, has a welcoming energy, and Coach Kyle and the other coaches are truly great to learn from. I'm really happy my dad and I decided to train here.
I have been training jiujitsu for 10 years and was looking for a new school to train at, and I couldn't be happier than what I have found at North Andover Jiujitsu! Coach Kyle is top notch and that reflects in his coaching staff and facility. If you're new to the art, or just looking for a new place to train, come check out North Andover Jiujitsu!
NABJJ has changed my life for the better. Kyle is an incredible coach who takes the time to perfect your technique and push you to be your best. Whether you're a beginner or an elite martial artist, there's a place for you here. The gym has everything you need, from spacious training areas to weights and cardio machines, plus gear for purchase. Every class leaves you drenched in sweat and feeling accomplished. I can't recommend it enough! 5 stars!
This has been a great experience for my son. North Andover Jiu Jitsu has embraced my son with open arms and help bring out a more confident side of him. I appreciate all the work the fellas put into all the kids.
There are not enough words to describe how wonderful North Andover BJJ is! Kyle is so kind and knowledgeable and the other coaches are amazing as well. From someone who was skeptical about trying martial arts, I highly recommend this place. You will learn so much, meet amazing people, be a part of an awesome community, and feel empowered!
Amazing staff! Our daughter loves going, her teachers are amazing
Clean mats, solid group of people, and an honor to train under a black belt UFC veteran and BJJ world champion. Doesn’t get much better than here
Absolutely a first class gym! I grew up around combat sports and Kyle is by far the most knowledgeable and easy to learn from coach I've seen. Everytime I'm in class he is unbelievably easy to follow. His work with the adult classes is 2nd to none but the way he works with my 6 year old son's classes is just amazing. I can't say enough about North Andover Jiu-jitsu, Kyle, and his entire coaching staff. Also the woman at the front desk is one of the nicest people, she always plays with and entertains my son while I'm doing my class. If you're looking for yourself or your children to get into this great sport, you would be doing yourself a disservice by going anywhere else!!!
Mis hijos tienen poco tiempo practicando y les encanta! Buenas atenciones de parte del personal.
I had my first class a couple of days ago and it was more fun than I expected. Not only are the teachers nice but the class was super welcoming and friendly. Jonathan Santiago (a student) was so helpful and gave up his time to help me with the class. I can’t wait for the next class!
Kyle is a wonderful instructor and North Andover Jiu Jitsu is a perfect place for someone brand new to martial arts, as well as those with prior experience! He is extremely professional and there is a wealth of knowledge to absorb at this school all done in a welcoming environment. I recommend anyone interested to try a class and get started!
Great place with great coaches. Everyone is super friendly and the facility is brand new. A pleasure to train at NAJJ.
very knowledgeable coaching staff. the gym is clean and welcoming. There's a culture of support amongst everyone involved here. I came in knowing next to nothing about jiu jitsu and was never looked down upon by anybody there, instead was give help and guidance on how to get better. Nothing has helped my physical mental wel being more than joining this program.
Tried BJJ and I have to say as a female, coach Kyle and everyone else made me feel comfortable. He's very professional and passionate on what he teaches. Facility is super clean and organized. Totally recommend to all including the ladies who are contemplating for self defense and empowerment.
Been going here for the past month and every class has been amazing. No Matter the level you're at you will feel like you're excelling. All questions asked are answered and demonstrated fully. Every member has been extremely welcoming and made the first couple of sessions no stress. I'm glad I chose this location!
Excellent classes with a great learning atmosphere with very educated teachers
My time at North Andover BJJ was an excellent experience. Coach Kyle is outstanding, his passion for the sport shines through in every session, creating an enjoyable and rewarding training environment. This gym is a great fit for both beginner and experienced martial artists. Definitely recommend!
I have always been impressed with the way Kyle set up and runs his operations. Everything he does and uses has always been of high-quality. This one was NO exception!! It is super clean, efficient and welcoming. From having a front desk operator, merch store, benches next to the mats.. The way everything was carefully designed makes a big difference for anyone training or spectating here! - TRAINING - Kyle “Crash” Bochniak has such a strong background and credibility to what he is teaching. I love the fact he can take anyone that has no idea what they’re doing and can transform them to a whole different person within a few sessions! During class, he lays out the foundational technique and then increased the complexity and options that one can add upon it. Class is very informative the way Kyle gave context to WHY/WHEN/HOW you should do certain moves. P.S. Very happy for North Andover Jiu-Jitsu with their recent expansion of the gym.. The space feels incredible to train in and they will definitely need the space considering how many monsters will be created here! North Andover Jiu Jitsu, Keep it up. Big blessings and much love! 🥋🥊🙏🏾
Kyle's gym is truly cream of the crop. Detailed instruction and a welcoming community. I've had a great experience here and can't recommend it enough.
I had a wonderful trial boxing class here. The instructor was knowledgeable with his coaching, patient with beginners as in a given class there are variable levels of experience, and he did not rush me to learn every thing at once but stressed the importance of getting the correct foundations learned first. Being only the few females in a group of males in the class i attended that evening, I did not feel uncomfortable or treated differently and that’s testament of the leadership of the instructors. Also the classes didn’t make me feel i was just going through the motions but i was truly learning the sport. i felt i was learning something new as well as getting a great workout. i didn’t collapse at the end of the class but i did feel it the few days in my muscles as i am out of shape!! i’m looking forward to future classes! :). thanks Kyle and team for your professionalism, pleasantness and knowledge!! i would definitely recommend BJJ!!
Great atmosphere, safe training, clean environment, and knowledgeable coaches.
North andover jiu jitsu has showed me a completely different side to grappling. The coaches are awesome and easy to work with. Coach Kyle is the real deal, but is often hidden by his humble and calm teaching practices.
Great place to train. Coach Kyle is a great mentor and my daughter likes the kids program as well. Highly recommended
coach was amazing and learned a lot from my first class very comfortable environment.
For the past year I’ve had the opportunity to train at North Andover Jiu Jitsu, and I must say it has been an incredible experience. The gym is a very well maintained and clean space, and exudes a professional and welcoming atmosphere. Coach Kyle is undoubtedly the gyms greatest asset. His skill, knowledge, and passion has created a gym community second to none. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned vet, North Andover Jiu Jitsu is a fantastic place to train.
This place is great! I go here for boxing 2x a week and I’ve already learned a lot. I used to go to Title Boxing, but this feels more specialized and the feedback on technique is more specific. If you’re hesitant, definitely make the jump! You won’t regret it. Coach Kyle is great for people on all levels. Highly recommend it.
My son is 13 and takes many different classes here. He loves it. The staff and other members are great and make him feel like one of the team. Great for confidence and discipline.
I’ve been training BJJ for about a month now, and I can tell you that Kyle is a highly experienced and decorated instructor who really knows what he’s doing! Every move is broken down, step by step, making it easy for you to fully understand and execute. Also, North Andover BJJ is by far the cleanest gym I’ve ever stepped foot in, which is a huge plus when it comes to hygiene. If you are looking for a top notch martial arts gym, North Andover BJJ is the way to go! Trust me, you won’t regret joining!
Kyle is an awesome coach! He does a really good job. He teaches in a way where people new to combat sports can follow along without feeling left behind. The other members are really welcoming also. I reccomend New England Jiu Jitsu to anybody looking to get started in combat sports!
Best gym around very welcoming and supportive
Coach Kyle has done a great job setting up a good program and environment to learn martial arts. All of the students, regardless of experience and skill are nice and tenacious.

I look forward to BJJ every week. Regardless of class size, it is always a great experience and the progress that all of the students have made is noticeable. Coach Kyle is amazing at what he does; he provides clear instruction and support consistently and it is obvious that he has a passion for what he teaches. I highly recommend this place!
The best fighting gym in the area goes to NAJJ! It's not just a Jiu Jitsu gym, it offers MMA and boxing classes as well, they're sooo much fun plus you get an amazing workout. Coach Kyle is one of the coolest guys I've ever met, amazing vibe and most and foremost amazing teacher with a ton of fighting experience, very very beginner friendly, and for any parent out there, know that Kyle also offers youth jiu jitsu, my daughter has been doing the classes and she LOVES IT. So yes, if you're interested in self-defense, working out, discipline and having fun while doing it than come try out NAJJ!

Kyle Bochniak was one of the most passionate fighters I’ve ever watched. He brings that same passion to his teaching style. His love for the sport and the art shine through his training. Kyle is a true mentor and inspiration for all of us to follow.

He has an excellent eye for the details and is very good at breaking down techniques. If you are in the area this is for sure a gym worth checking out.

North Andover Jiu Jitsu is a great place to learn marsh arts!! Great family atmosphere , and the coaches are very detailed and excellent with kids ! Highly recommended!!
Coach Kyle is the best!!!! His attention to details and real life application from his UFC fights… priceless! He walks the talk.
Kyle is a great teacher with lots of competition experience, whether you are new to martial arts or have already trained before he can definitely help you achieve your goals.
Worked individually with Head Coach/Owner Kyle. Greatly improved my striking and overall fitness - was able to track a decrease in my body fat % and resting heart rate during the time I worked with him! Highly recommend to regular folks, competitive athletes , or anything in-between.
Kyle is a very talented martial artist who does a great job teaching from actual competition experience. He is a fantastic instructor for all levels .
Beautiful clean and spacious! The instructor was very knowledgeable and well prepared! I will be going back for more lessons!
I’ve known the owner for some years now. He has lots of experience and is super reputable. He knows what he’s doing and is a great trainer. His classes are hardcore but well worth it. I highly recommend North Andover Jiu Jitsu!
Boxed with Kyle for a while. He’s the best! Definitely recommend
Kyle is not only a phenomenal athlete and competitor, but a great coach who puts exceptional time, effort, and care into his coaching and instruction. He helped me improve my MMA game tremendously in a short amount of time. Go learn from the best!
I have known and trained with Kyle for most of a decade and have been looking forward to him opening this gym. He's a great coach, competitor and person. I was lucky enough to be there opening night, great mat space and environment from day 1!
The owner and head instructor Kyle is a fantastic coach. His boxing instruction has helped me greatly and his jiu-jitsu is world class! North Andover Jiu Jitsu is a gym for everyone, from beginners to experienced martial artists.
I've known Kyle for many years Kyle is a true professional a great fighter along with a great coach. Kyle will do wonderful with his own gym whether you're an adult, a child or someone with experience, or it’s your first day he will make you feel comfortable.
I've known Kyle Bochniak as a friend, client, and instructor. He's dedicated to his craft and has a great ability to teach / instruct conceptually and from real experience-- if you didn't know that he is a UFC veteran, then you've been missing out! There's no better spot to get your combat sport fix, whether you are just starting out or a seasoned combat sport athlete.
Overall, I think it's fine. Parking: plenty of parking in front and around the building. Pricing: they offer multiple pricing options which is very convenient. Month to month, 3-6-12 months. Obviously the longer term you do the less you pay per month. They have a 3 day grace period from when you sign up where you can cancel if you change your mind. However, I don't like that you can't see the prices anywhere except in person. This is, in my opinion, a predatory sales pressure tactic. People should be able to see the prices on the website or somewhere else easy to see. Class: class is very fun. I do the adult MMA, which I would say is not particularly beginner friendly here but this is a plus to me as I already have experience. They don't put stretching and jump ropes or rolling or whatever in the class, the class is just 100% getting into the martial arts which is nice, less time wasted. So it helps a lot if you have at least some experience (e.g, you know how to roll, how to fall safely, how to throw a punch/kick, footwork, basic stuff.) They also do sparring often which I love. I also like that there is plenty of space; I've been in other gyms that you're almost shoulder to shoulder with people, but the mat area is very roomy and accommodates everyone well. There's also a little locker area where you can keep your stuff which is nice. Service: I really don't like interacting with the front desk lady, she's very frigid and I always get the impression she is slightly annoyed to have to look up from her phone to interact with anyone. Kyle (the instructor) is fine. He's very energetic, unfortunately sometimes this means he has little patience for questions during the class. Schedule: the schedule is pretty good. 7 pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday adult mma and 1 pm saturday kickboxing. My only gripe is to see announcements for holidays and special events, you have to go to their Instagram. I don't use social media and I don't want to start just to see if classes are on or not. This info should be somewhere easy to see like the website or a member portal.
Overall, I think it's bad. There are some pluses but the teacher is the most important part and I did not enjoy him at all. Another tip on this: this place clearly spends heavily on advertising, at least on FB and Instagram. Anywhere that tries so hard with advertising is somewhere you should be very wary of. Class: class is fun. I do the adult MMA, which I would say is not particularly beginner friendly here but this is a plus to me as I already have experience. They don't put stretching and jump ropes or rolling or whatever in the class, the class is just 100% getting into the martial arts which is nice, less time wasted. Service: I really don't like interacting with the front desk lady, she's very frigid and I always get the impression she is slightly annoyed to have to look up from her phone to interact with anyone. Kyle (the instructor) is pretty bad. I'm sure he's a great fighter, based on all the medals and trophies on the wall. But being good at anything doesn't make you good at teaching that skill. Kyle is impatient, disrespectful, dislikes being asked questions, and overall unpleasant to be around on the mat. Every time he came over to me and my partner I tensed up because I knew he wasn't going to listen to how I felt performing a technique, he would just tell you to do something fast, slap you around while trying to teach you something, or use the bag. I need to ask questions about techniques to understand them from a technical perspective and he told me to stop asking questions and just do it. Didn't enjoy that. This is a very sport focused place, so if you're looking for self defense skills I recommend looking elsewhere. A few of the skills I learned here, I would not use in places like the street or anywhere where there is a hard surface. Things he has said like "this is MMA, not karate" have also made me question his teaching expertise. Any good MMA teacher understands that MMA means mixed martial arts, and if someone can use karate effectively and that's what they're comfortable with, they should use that. Posted 1 year agoSigned up for a membership here and was only able to attended one class which was great and the environment was awesome . Unfortunately, due to medical reason i was unable to attend for two weeks in which I had to cancel my membership, not to mention the only way to do so was with a doctors note. I brought the note to the girl at the front two weeks after I had signed up, Kyle happened to be in front too. I told them the reason why I had to cancel before my monthly membership, which happened to be charged the day i went in, not 30 days after… They listened to my reason in which both did not seem to care. I had mentioned, since I was only able to attended one class, in two weeks, am I able to get my $200 refund due to my medical issue? Kyle said “No because i signed the agreement”. I understand how things work but we are also human & things happen, these people don’t care & shows that Kyle was money hungry. I wanted to give this place a 5 star because the one class was super fun but Kyle did not care to accommodate or be considerate with me. He stated ”It is what it is” shrugged his shoulders & chuckled.
