I love training at New School BJJ! It’s been a year since I started, and I’ve already made great memories and improved my BJJ skills. The whole team is welcoming, and the coaches are highly skilled and genuinely supportive of everyone’s progress. Classes have a perfect balance of drills and sparring, and they’re always safe and fun. Can’t wait to see you on the mats!
Joined back in May of 2025 as a beginner and was welcomed with open arms! All of the coaches are professional, have incredible skill sets and loads of experience, and they genuinely care about not only your progression, but your safety. Along with the coaches, all other class attendees are welcoming, friendly, and considerate to everyone’s individual level! Whether you’re a beginner like me, or have trained for years, I can’t recommend New School BJJ enough!

Joined May 2024. Great, high level coaches for both Gi and Nogi. Very welcoming atmosphere, so there is no pressure if you've not taken a class before and there are beginner specific classes on Monday evenings. I would definitely recommend for new and experienced people.
I love this place. When I first moved to London I asked around for a place that was welcoming to all and everyone agreed on NEWSCHOOL. The instructors, participants … everyone is welcoming and has a genuine interest in getting to know you. A great testament is that many couples and families train together here.
Great club, great people and awesome community. I've trained here for several years along with my son, we've both learnt loads and made so many friends. There's a really nice mix of instructors and super friendly atmosphere.
Been a member of new school for over two years. Awesome coaches, brilliant teaching and nice people!
Posted 2 years agoFantastic school. The teachers and students create a great atmosphere and there is nothing more satisfying than getting some pressure taps or wrist locks after a hard day of work. Fully recommend.

Posted 2 years agoJust visiting from another club on an open mat session. Very welcoming, very friendly, great session enjoyed by all of us from Tokei. Good facilities and plenty of showers, decent air con / extractor fan, space for bags and shoes. A great place to train or visit......and a bunch of the guys joined us for a beer by the river afterwards too.
Posted 3 years agoAmazing, patient and technically excellent trainers. Tom and Nick are what little kids need: great role models, knowledgeable , patient. They mix BJJ techniques with games so the kids are never bored, but are constantly learning. They know how to break down and teach complex sequence of moves. It is a martial art class with all the elements (teaching respect, lots of agility and strength exercises, self defence techniques), but without the unnecessary aggression that you see at many other places. New School BJJ is the best place for kids to get introduced to martial arts. My 6 year old loves the classes , adores and respects the trainers.
