Went there for a trial class and was overwhelmed at the care and kindness of everyone from instructor to training partners. The instructions and tips I received from their head coach was absolutely amazing. With a few words he helped me fix a lot of mistakes I was making. I am pretty out of shape and never felt rushed by anyone there. They were all understanding of my limits and allowed me to step aside whenever I needed to. I just wish i lived a bit closer, but if you can make it to this academy, i'm sure you'll have a great time. I really enjoyed my time there.
Posted 1 year agoThis is a complete five star gym all around , Michael the head instructor is a phenomenal teacher. He has a way of adjusting to each individual and pushing everyone to be there best version. The gym is also extremely clean and well kept. It is an amazing family atmosphere that is very nice to be around!
Posted 4 years agoWhat an amazing Jiu Jitsu gym!! Michael is a top notch instructor! You'll learn amazing technique. All of the students are helpful and everyone is made to feel like family. I'd highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a home gym to check it out!

Posted 1 year agoI started at Cobrinha back in July of this year. I work as a high school teacher & wanted to learn some self defense. Being in my 40's I was a bit hesitant about taking bjj. I'm so glad I took the chance & started my bjj journey here. The staff at Cobrinha South is very professional, & my fellow students are great about giving minor instruction when they can. Since I started at Cobrinha I've lost 16 lbs and my health has dramatically improved. If you are looking to learn bjj & are looking for a school with a professional staff who can give you lots of direct instruction I highly recommend Cobrinha South. Thank you
