Misfit Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy is an IBJJF Certified Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in New Mexico with South Valley and Westside locations. The academy offers adult and kids Gi and No-Gi BJJ classes, Tiny Misfits, and Karate Tang Soo Do, with CPR and first-aid-certified coaches.

I love the atmosphere and how much time they put into working with the kids. It was rough start for my son but they worked with him and now he absolutely loves it and enjoys going everyday. They strive to make these kids the best they can be! I would highly recommend!
The best choice we ever made was putting our 3 boys at this gym! They have grown so much in their behavior and self confidence since being here. It is truly amazing and motivating to watch how much the team grows and learns because of the professor and coaches! I have also done a few classes myself and when I have more time in my busy schedule to keep doing them, best believe I will 💪
Our daughters have been attending since they opened in May and we love the Misfit team and family. Classes are offered 6 days per week and we regularly attend 5 because our daughters look forward to going, my husband is excited to join as well. The coaches and Professor are kind and caring while also being firm and they are all great teachers! It’s a wonderful gym with amazing people that are really working hard. All of the kids and families get along well - our daughters look forward to going to class to learn, see their coaches, and their friends too! So thankful to have this place in the SW!

AFFORDABLE Pricing!!! Best gym in ABQ for BJJ . Everyone is friendly and is there to learn. I have felt welcomed since the open house and every practice since they have the best pricing in town and the atmosphere is great as well as the instructors and other practitioners. Highly recommend checking them out!
My family is very active with sports and when we found out there was a jiujitsu gym that was opening up in the south valley, we jumped at the opportunity! My oldest had some experience at another gym prior to sign up it’s my youngest first time and I can say that I see the difference in the Professor, and coaches! They are amazing teachers and patient with all ages! Very family oriented as well!! Check them out!! You won’t regret it!!

Coach Kindell and profesor are always ready to help us with techniques and fundamentals. Located in the south valley and with affordable rates, this gym offers you a family and friendly environment that highlights values and positivism for people of all ages. After signing my kids up for jiu jitsu and watching them learn and getting ready to compete, I decided to take on the endeavor with them. I could not recommend a more capable team of instructors and superb family friendly environment. If you live in the south valley and are looking to learn jiu jitsu I highly recommend you come check it out.
My grandson just started classes here and we love it. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants their kids to be surrounded by great, knowledgeable instructors with Godly values. Our 16 year old daughter has also started classes here and loves it. Both kids have more confidence and love it. So glad we found this gym.

What an amazing facility. They have great coaches and really focus on teaching our children and adults. I love the fact that they don't see us like a dollar sign like most gyms. They truly reinvest in the parents and children. My only regret is not finding this gym sooner.
I am a beginner in this martial art and yet I do not feel discouraged if anything I feel more motivated than ever! Super friendly and loving environment. We enjoy doing Jiu Jitsu as a family at Misfits. Our family is very thankful that they came to the South Valley. Love how it’s a family owned and Christian based Jiu Jitsu company. Friendly, fun and very knowledgeable of Jiu Jitsu. Our kids are learning SO much here!

Misfit bjj is an awesome place! The instructors are very nice people and when teaching they will stay by your side until you understand the move completely, they offer snacks to everyone and water to keep you hydrated while training, the bathroom is women friendly with keeping tampons in there which I love, the environment is very clean as well
