It’s a great environment with an awesome teacher. You can’t go wrong here. Ed is an instructor who loves every aspect of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and teaching, and it shows every night. There’s a bunch of schools in New Jersey, but I’m happy I drove past them and landed here.

I'm about 6 weeks into training at Maverick after over a decade away from the sport. It's incredible to walk into a place that so prominently represents it's community and values first. This facility prides itself on the team of practitioners it has built and is continuing to build. The members are welcoming and kind, especially to those who are new to the sport. It's been a breath of fresh air to walk into a gym and immediately feel like you're part of a team. Professor and all of the coaches are professional and detail oriented in their instruction. The student to instructor count is excellent for those looking for smaller classes and more focused instruction. I can't recommend this place enough if you're looking to join a team where you can learn practical skills while working up an incredible sweat. Most importantly for me, this school focuses on safety first. We all have something important to do tomorrow and don't want to be hurt while doing it.

I highly recommend Maverick Brazilian Jiu jitsu. Professor Lugo is an accomplished teacher with a ton of experience. The facility is always clean. You get a lot of attention from Professor and his team. The other students are all high character individuals and the vibes are always good. If you're a beginner to Jiu jitsu or more seasoned and you want a solid gym, this is the place.

My young son has been training here over a year, and is learning so much. His Coach Ernie is so patient and kind, making sure the kids recognize the big picture behind everything, and Professor Eddie keeps everyone on track and in line. It’s a wonderful dojo.

A wonderful school with fantastic Professors. I feel so blessed to have met these people and have the opportunity to learn from them. I have learned more in a few short weeks here than in months at a previous school. If you want to learn BJJ in a warm, caring environment with attentive instructors come here, you won't regret it!

Hands on training that you won’t find anywhere else and a group of people that I am proud to call my Family.
