We currently live in the North Kenwood Area and after researching surrounding martial arts facilities, we decided to enroll our son at the Martial Arts World all the way in Lansing, IL and we are SO VERY HAPPY WE DID!! We wanted our son to gain the skills to defend himself if need be, yet have seen progress in so many other areas. We have been nothing but impressed! He has been attending Martial Arts World since 2022 and have since seen growth not only in combat, but in his confidence, discipline and focus. The staff at Martial Arts World genuinely cares about each student and treats every person that walks through that door like family. Though our commute is far, we wouldn't have it any other way! Thank you so much MAW for being apart of our village.

Top notch school for martial arts training. Instructors are professional and approachable. It's a very welcoming environment for children as well as adults. The facility is kept cleaned on a routine basis. This place challenges you to grow stronger physically and mentally. This is a great school for parents who want their children to develop discipline and self-confidence, and it's a great place for adults who want to pursue martial arts training of the highest quality.

I came here but I left cause I had wrestling practice but this is the best place to do martial art the people are very welcoming and kind it builds discipline and you meet new people and friends and my sensei is very wise and kind 10/10

Where do I begin.. My son Julian has been a student at Martial Arts World since July of 2018. This was the best decision my family and I could had made for Julian. Not only is Julian learning the skill of Martial Art, he’s also gaining a second family. I appreciate everything Shihan and the staff have done for Julian. It’s a good feeling to know my child is in good hands. Whenever I have a concern or question, Shihan always makes himself available to address any concerns. I enjoy watching my son compete in tournaments except for sparring (that’s my least favorite) lol. Watching him grow and become a confident young man; has been an amazing experience. The Chief Instructor, Shihan Lemuel Muhammad, is well respected, incredibly knowledgeable, highly skilled and a brilliant teacher. He and all of the instructors are focused on helping each and every student reach their greatest potential. While the training may be rigorous, the environment is very supportive and fun, making it easy for everyone from novice to advanced to progress at their own pace. And what’s most beautiful is that everything we learn has practical application. My son has been attending Martial Arts World since 2018 and the growth he has experienced both physically and mentally has been astonishing. His discipline and confidence has superseded all my expectations. I know when I drop my son off with Shihan Muhammed and the Martial Arts World staff that he is with family surrounded by village members who only want the best for him and that puts his mother and I mind at ease.

Great Place To Train!!! Very clean facility, great instruction, committed staff. Members are treated like family. Growth, strength discipline and humility is taught and encouraged. Love the owner/head instructor’s innovative spirit. I appreciate the multiple concepts used to deliver his knowledge of the art and fitness. I recommend this business for ages from 4 to 84!!

Oss! I‘ve been attending martial arts world for about ten years I have learned so much over the years and have gained a great deal of confidence and success. I’ve been able to travel to different places outside of Illinois all because of martial arts world I’ve been inducted into a blackbelt hall of fame all because of training at martial arts world. I have took first place gold medals in many competitions all because of training at martial arts world. And even became and author all because of the great influence that the school had put on me. And even an entrepreneur! Training at Martial arts world it has changed my entire life in such a positive way still taking me to many opportunities. And it has kept me out of trouble being a young adult. It has mentally shown me that I can do anything that I put my mind too. I have learned more at martial arts world than in public school. l love how professional and well structured and organized martial arts world is. It is beautiful on the inside and outside. It makes you feel like you’re in a whole different place. And it’s very clean inside of the school from top to bottom.I love how the staff and instructors how they treat the parents and the children they truly focus on transforming the human being lives there’s a lot of care coming out of martial arts world they aren’t all about the dollars they really take their time to help the members. Not just to kick and punch but helping them to get through things in their own personal lives very patient and caring staff the children and the adults are extremely disciplined like army disciplined. It’s a great place for the black community. And with the world being the way it is today all children and adults should attend Martial arts world one would learn how to protect themselves and sharpen up their mind. Educationally speaking it’s a great Trade school if you’re looking for bigger and better within your child’s future martial arts is a great school for both child and Adult!

I have been a student of Shihan Lemuel Muhammad for over 10 years now. Mr. Muhammad has always been extremely dedicated to his craft and to his students. Mr. Muhammad is compassionate about his art and he pushes each and every student to strive to be the best they can be in this beautiful art. I am getting stronger, faster, sharper and more confident in my juijitsu execution. I am very thankful for the excellent instruction I am receiving from not only Mr. Muhammad but also his black belt Instructors who give so much of their time. I am so grateful and thankful for having met my teacher Shihan Lemuel Muhammad. Learning juijitsu from Martial Arts World is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Thank you.

HORRIBLE BUSINESS !!!!!!So, let me tell about this Black establishment and how they will rip you off!!!! They say they care for your kids but let you miss a few days or even a couple of months. They are not even checking on the kids, as long as they get their money that’s all that matters. This suppose to be a great example of a black martial arts school, but this was a very disappointing and very unprofessional experience. I hope in the coming years they can become better over time and not be so cold hearted. I hope they check on the kids who attend here more and even the regular members as well. Please make improvements!!!!!!
