  My son started about a year ago at Leny Jiu Jitsu and was coming from a gym that he really loved. I told him that we would try it out and if it didn’t suit him, he could go back to the old gym. He was a little nervous about starting fresh in this new environment. Having said that, what he found was not only a welcoming culture, but a new home. The coaches from Leny Jiu Jitsu were very friendly and helpful in this transition for him. Needless to say, we wouldn’t think of changing gyms again! We are overly satisfied with the coaching and culture of Leny Jiu Jitsu and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an introduction to the world of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

  If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to get folded up by friends while they joke about it, this is the place for you. The coaches here are absolute monsters on the mat but also the kind of people who’d help your grandma carry groceries. I’ve known a lot of these guys for years, and they’ve combined high-level technique, wrestling, and stand-up comedy into one terrifyingly effective program. The gym’s only been open about a year, but they’ve already collected more talent than most places do in a decade. Huge mat space, awesome downtown San Antonio location, and a wrestling program that makes you realize you’ve been shooting takedowns wrong your entire life. It’s also family-friendly which makes is easy to bring your kids for growth, mutual suffering and group stretches.

  Leny’s Jiu Jitsu has been an amazing experience for our family. My son started when he was 4 years old, and he absolutely loves going to class. The instructors do an incredible job teaching discipline, respect, confidence, and strong work ethic while still making learning fun for the kids. We have seen so much growth in his focus, self-control, and confidence since joining. The environment is welcoming, supportive, and motivating for students of all ages. I highly recommend Leny’s Jiu Jitsu to any parent looking for a positive and structured activity that truly makes a difference in their child’s development.

  Leny Jiu Jitsu is an amazing place to train. The coaches are knowledgeable, and always willing to help when you need it, whether you’re brand new or more experienced. The training partners are all great too—everyone works hard, pushes each other, and keeps a positive, respectful environment. We train seriously, but also have fun and stay safe doing it, which always makes coming to the gym a good time. Highly recommend Leny Jiu Jitsu to anyone looking to improve their skills and be part of a solid team.
